why since foil is conductive.in order to block radio waves you would need something non-conductive such as teflon sheeting.

it seems there really are some people who wear tinfoil hats. their paranoia seems to block out the absurdity of wearing metal to somehow block radio waves. if i cared i would check into what else in non-conductive.
reminds me of that old movie, control factor.

'tin hat' was what an underground or construction worker wore before plastic came along.

guess you're not old enough to remember them.
