Ann Coulter is no Johnathan Swift!
Ann Coulter makes up "facts" to support her position. For examples, check out pages 5-20 of "Lies And the Lying Liars Who Tell Them." The author, Al Franken, is a true satirist who doesn't need to make up facts to support his position.

I've often pondered whether Annie and her pal, Bill O'Reilly really believe the drivel that they're spouting.
To some degree, I agree that Coulter is doing an act, a bit of shtick--she's purposefully shrill and outrageous because that sells books and gets her TV and radio appearances. On the other hand, she is too serious and just too damned unfunny to really be called a satirist. Her public persona to me seems to be different from the private person in degree, not in kind. Comedians like Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert who do honest-to-God satire leave you clear that they're not condoning what they report or imitate, they're just binging it to you attention in a way that makes people laugh. I don't get that "knowing wink" kind of feeling when I see Ann Coulter.

Swift (and Steward and Colbert) are explicit about being satirists.
Jon Stewart often says exactly what he thinks; when he's faking, it's pretty obvious.
Colbert is clearly pretending; in interviews, he's explicit about NOT being the host of the Repor(t).
I think you've been misreading Coulter, because she actually advocates all that bat sh*t crazy stuff.
She may or may not realize she's lying, but she is seriously advancing what she says as true.
Since what she says is truly hateful, she deserves whatever reactions she inspires from the human beings of the world.

she is not a satirist, she is the epitome of the right wing movement. she is a racist, bigoted, homophobic she-male. Don Imus made a comment that cost him his job, Micheal Richards had a rant and it killed his career, even ( god forbid) Rush Limbaugh made a racist comment and he was fired from Monday Night Football. Ann Coulter makes homophobic ( Edwards is a "f@g"), not to mention hateful hurtfull comments and the right suck it up. The right wing allow this stuff because they are in the long run racist homophobes.

Since when has Ann Coulter claimed to be a satirist? It doesn't appear that she intends for her writings or words to be interpreted as satire. If she does intend this then someone needs to let her know she sucks at it.

Libs like to dish it out but they can't take it...
Coulter just reverses what Libs do all the time and she is way more successful at it than they are. So not only is she good at what she does which is using Lib tactics to prove they are morons she also makes a ton of money at it in the process.
Funny - here is a woman that is obviously smart, independent, and rich by her own hand and the Libs can't stand that... I wonder why that is?

Its all spin. Myself, I listen and make up my own mind. You seem to take opinions of other people
as the truth. I like Ann Coulter. Not so much for what she is saying but her conviction when she says it.

Ann Coulter stirs up hate against Liberals, she is stopping me from having conversations with Conservatives by force feeding them lies.
