The problem is that there is no such thing as a real independent. Typically they are either far right or more often far left and are tightly aligned with one party or another.

It's time for independents to take over the entire gov't. We do not a have a 2 party system or a 3 party or a 10 party system......political parties are nowhere in the Constitution. Jefferson thought political parties were a bad idea and should never be part of our system at all. He was right.

I believe that if there is communication of thought and is good at seeing the need of people that is a good leader. I don't vote because of lack of communication. 3 question I do have are in my profile that are frightening to some people. You never hear about. Economic of the World 9 11. I'm in Canada. It could scare you too bad.

Im fine with anybody but bill's wife or Barrack Hussein Obama and most of the democrats. I swear half of their damn answers in the debate were just making fun of republicans o they sure are smart. GOP needs a real conservative and im looking for a conservative independent also if GOP can't get one.

so here once again are some suggestions for it

1. u can only donate to people u can vote for

2. no pac's, corporate, lobbyist, or foreign donations

3. must be us citizen to vote

4. unlimited donations but public list of the donors and how much they have given

5. 6 month campaign cycle

6. no donations to political parties, the politicians can give a part of there raised funds to their own parties ( cause you cant vote for parties, but for people.)

7. no public funds to people running

Not a bad idea, but I don't think something like that will ever really happen just because the two party system sucks so much.

Only if Republicans do not return to their conservative roots. Most Americans associate themselves with basic conservative principles: lower taxes, limited government, etc.

When Republicans run and act like this, they win landslides. See 1980 Reagan 49 of 50 states and 1994 Contract With America

As a devout 24/7 liberal I think we need a Military Coup and 200 years of oppression to bring us up to snuff.

heck no. the educated voters of America would never elect an independent. the electoral college has ensured that an independent would never win unless the vast majority of the country changes opinion.

Republicans? Where? I haven't seen any around for a long time. I think if we don't pull a rabbit out of our hat --- soon --- we'll have a one-party system. It's pretty much that way now.
