NASHUA, N.H. - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took aim at Democratic rivals on Sunday, calling them all unprepared to lead the country and comparing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's economic plan to that of Socialist Karl Marx.

"Hillary Clinton just gave a speech the other day about her view on the economy. She said we have been an on-your-own society. She said it's time to get rid of that and replace that with shared responsibility and we're-in-it-together society," Romney told the crowd. "That's out with Adam Smith and in with Karl Marx."

"Barack Obama said we're going to have to have the government take over health care. He at least had the integrity to say he wants to raise your taxes," Romney said. "The right answer is not a government takeover, it's not socialized medicine. It's not Hillarycare."

If someone is killed by the law/government via capital punishment (gas chamber, firing squad, lethal injection, etc) can their dependents or surviving family members claim their life insurance policy?

As of now a (white) child molester got off with 10 MONTHS of PROBATION after repeatedly molesting a 13 year old girl. The judge was afraid what would happen to the man in jail because he was of a small stature. At the same time a (black)boy had CONSENTUAL sex with his GIRLFRIEND but becuase of their TWO YEAR age difference putting him barely over 18 and his girlfriend barely under 18 he could possibly serve 10 YEARS.

By the way I'm white so I'm not looking for the rasism

And before you ask.... Yes, I have. I certainly dont consider myself an expert on the subject.

I think its odd how people can watch 5 minutes of CNN (or Al Jazera) and suddenly feel they have a complete understanding of what is going on in Iraq. Anyone else understand my frustration?

The American Invasion of Iraq was probably America's worst foerign policy blunder of all time. The war was ill conceived, poorly and incompetently planned. There were no WMDs, and Iraq had no connection to 9/11. Iraq posed no threat to the USA and its allies. It should never have happened.

But it did happen. We made it happen. And now that we have made this mess we should stay and clean it up.

I can't believe that some people, and some Presidential candidates, are saying we should withdraw completely. There would be all sorts of dissasterous consequences to abandoning our mission and our responsibility in Iraq. We need to stay and get the job done - even if it means many more soldiers dying. The solution will likely be mostly a political one. But it will also require a certain measure of military backing.

We owe it to Iraq, to the world, and to the thousands of US soldiers who have given their lives, to complete this mission.

What do you think?

If liberal means free, I would think that liberals would be completely oblivious to race and would oppose discrimination in every way, shape, and form. So, I'm confused as to why liberals are the ones who support affirmative action.

I am on probation for OWI...I was mandated to attend AA and do a rehab program. I am not an alcoholic. The rehab guy diagnosed me as not an alcoholic and just making poor decisions. In the offical report he told me P.O. I was "in denial". Because I am allegedly "in denial" can my P.O. make me do counseling or do another rehab, even if I did not violate?

is this the standard treatment for american citizens trying to bring their wifes home from another country? I would like to see one of our fine congress men who helped make up these immigration laws and see if he could live for 17 months not seeing his wife, not setting down to dinner or anything else that married people should be doing daily, my question mainly is how dam much longer could they me wait in this endless hell, and no i'm not having to wait because of the background check because that comes last if you can figure that one out , any way how long do you think this is going to take ,and could this customer service that is less than you would get at any discount DOLLAR STORE , be part of the reason so many come to the USA illegal because they know they could die of old age doing it the legal way, please try to help me understand why they make such a mess of peoples life without care, thank you.

Throwing people in jail for being unemployed and unable to pay a debt should be unconstitutional. I understand it is allowed for political reasons,to get judges and prosecutors elected. Why is it allowed by the general public?

I'm guessing the second amendment right to bear arms.

While you might think you need that gun to shoot a burglar or your your wife if she stands in front of the TV, what if the Bush administration says there's too great a risk of it falling into the hands of terrorists?

Isn't a gun a greater threat than free speech or the right to call a lawyer when you're arrested?

The White House's extreme position will lead to a constitutional crisis where the executive branch refuses to follow the law. Congress may need to use its own inherent contempt powers, in which it would level the charges itself and hold a trial. - if Bush won't let the DOJ do its job.
Bush's stance endangers our 3 part system of government and the Constituton as well as the Republic.

Here is the truth of the matter and a little history lesson. The colonists were not radical revolutionaries or liberals. There actually was no revolution in the literal sense. They were not trying to overthrow the British Crown.

There was actually very little British taxation on the colonies before the renewed hostilities with France. After that old rivalry heated up again, the British started imposing new taxes on the colonies to fund the war. The colonists were understandably upset with this because they had no representation in Parliment. The colonists were fighting for independence to preserve tradition and self government that they had enjoyed for so long without British interference. In this respect, the colonists were actually conservatives in the traditional sense.
