No I don't. I hear all this talk about how if we leave there will be a civil war in the country and Iraq will collapse. As much as I don't want that to happen. It isn't our problem any more. I totally agree with the details and statements about Iraq being America's worst foreign blunder and so on, and its true that they didn't have anything to do with 9/11, Bush just sent them because there was a RUMOR of them having a nuclear bomb or something the has to do with that and that it supposedly could destroy the entire world, but he didn't have any solid evidence. You say that we should stay and fix the things that we did and help them, re-read what you wrote in the third paragraph, third and forth line.
It would cost the lives of more soldiers, and that shouldn't be. We should have gotten out of there long ago but the idiot we call our president hasn't taken us out. Do you really think that we should stay there to help these eople when no matter when we leave their country will end up collasping t the expence of our own soldiers? As much as I hate to say this, the hassle we are going through over in Iraq isn't worth all the loss of life that has come with us being there. We should have gotten real proof. Itotally agree with those presidental candidates we should get out of there.
You say that we owe it to Iraq, to the world and to the thousands of soldiers who have die there, to complete this mission. What we owe the world is the end of this war so there can be at least a little more peace, like it deserves.
We owe Iraq a sincere and heart felt apology for attacking them with out reason. We owe them us getting out of there and not taking the lives of the people that don't want our help and our ways, the ones who fight aginst us.
As for the soldiers we owe them something we can never give back... Their lives. We owe their family more than what this country can give they lost their loved ones and we can't do anything to give them back. We owe these soldiers the repect they desrve from the other nations that they might not get because of the stupidity of our 'President' and 'Vice-President' and the respect we lost because of them. Take a look at the news once in a while even if they don't say much anymore they still give bits of it and if not look at the newspaper it talks about this war. More and more soldiers are dying for petty reasons. We shouldn't be there. Enough is enough we are only causing more damage in Iraq, to the people of our nation and the once loved nation we live in, countries have lost respect for us and we need it back because, God forbid, if something happens and we need their help, they might not respect us enough to help us.
What we should do is if Iraq needs any help finacial, health, etc.. is that we send them help and the supplies they need and anything else we can do that doesn't involve us staying there fighting a war, that will in the end kill one side.
They thing we owe to Iraq, to the world, to the thousands of soldiers is the end of this useless and reasonless war. And the prevention of World War three, because believe it or not, that was the 1st thing i read about this war. I was in 3rd grade, and so i was terrified at the thought, I stayed up late into the night unable to sleep thinking about it. People are afraid this is going to lead up to WW3. We shouldn't let that happen or give peple reason to believe it as well.
This is what i think, and I'm only thirteen. I can imagine people who actually have lost ones they love to this war, who are lder and wiser. Think about it.
I'm sorry if this offends anyone I don' mean it in any bad way. But Enough is enough. I say lets get out.

No, I don't support the war or wars in general. I don't support it especially because, it was supposed to have been a short term mission. The U.S. Army has overstayed it's welcome. The goal was to find the suspected Chemical, biological and nuclear weapons, which never existed (making the whole thing look even less justified) and to remove Saddam Hussein until a new party replaced him. That already happened a while ago. So,why are the Americans still there ?
Obviously,to fight Al-Qaeda dudes who are taking shots at them. Iraq is now worse off then when Saddam was in power.
Kids now have to start working earlier like age 12, because the economy took a nose dive and the parents are either unemployed, dead or struggling to get by.
The situation is nearly exactly the same as when Germany lost WW1 and the Deutsche Mark became worthless, unemployment and desperation rampant and a man named Adolf Hitler entered the Political scene.
Now, the popular Iranian leader can take advantage of the situation. Thanks to the American led militant invasion of Iraq.
When the American army leaves. That whole region will become like Iran and their united Islamic army will swell beyond anything the world has ever seen. If the American army stays to confront Iran directly. It will be the official beginning of WW3.

I do not support the way the war has been handled. At first, everyone thought it truly was for terrorism, and there was full support. However, years later, thousands dead, and the truth is slowly being realized. And, we haven't even found the man who is responsible for 9/11, and who is the mastermind of a network of people who are out there to cause fear and to hurt the innocent. Personally, I think we need a new perspective, and we should cease all the fighting, come to a sort of treaty to cease fire, and help reestablish Iraq peacefully, possibly through the UN instead of only the army. And, I think that our supposedly "great" intelligence agencies should be spread on a determined search to find Osama, and help bring a little more peace to the world. Sorry to sound a bit utopian, but we can only hope.

I do not support the war but I do support the troops. Now that America has boo-booed it is now trying to make peace and have an allie in the middle east so that no more of the middle east can pose an attack. Iran would take over Iraq if America just left it there and Iran whould put the Shia in power and more terrorist attacks would just keep on a-comin'. So you are correct that we should stay but I am not in favor for more soldiers to die. My father will be leaving for Iraq at the end of this month. You clearly don't know what it is like to have your family torn apart and Most people are not willing to give up their loved ones.
Thank you.

No I don't support the war, BUT I do support the troops, their just doing the job they have been ordered to do whether it was right or wrong. But the question as to should we stay or not is tricky, on one hand your right we broke it so now we should fix it and try to get some sense of order established before we leave. but on the other hand our presents seems be worsening the stability of the country and the region for that matter. so its hard to say which solution is correct. its kind of a double edged sword, Do we stay and let more Americans die in a country where a majority of the population doesn't want us there any way and try to fix what we broke, OR do we leave and let what ever happens happen. Its not an easy solution.

The only 'disaster' to getting entirely out of the middle east and not importing a single drop of oil from there would be to the profit margin of the US Oil Mafia. What would happen there is that new countries would form, breaking up the pretend countries established in the middle east by the French and British after WW1. Would people get killed and infastructure destroyed? You bet. What's happening now? People are getting killed and infastructure is getting destroyed. Only the US can change the algebra of the middle east, and the only way to do that is to LET THOSE PEOPLE ALONE! They will figure it out. Our money is what funds this mess...by not importing their oil they'll have to figure out what's actually in their own best interest....and it won't be attacking the west or bumping each other off!

No we don't. There will be no consequences. We pull out of Korea, nothing. Vietnam, nothing. History tells us what will happen.
We owe it to the soldiers who died to pull out. They would not want other soldiers in harms way with a terrible strategy. The overall objective changes once we complete it in Iraq. Why does that happen? You can only wonder why we need to be in Iraq for so long without questioning what this war is really about. Lining pockets of already people who are too rich to know what to do with it .

I'm against the war too and I completely agree with everything you said in the first paragraph. But, my view on the second part of your statement is somewhat different. I think we should withdraw completely, but not abruptly, not in the current state Iraq is in. I think we should train the Iraqis to defend themselves and get humanitarian aid so we can withdraw our troops. If the Iraqis want democracy, they have to establish it themselves. As a country, we need to mind our own business. It's not our job to force democracy on other countries and tell them how to run their governments. I think other countries will be less likely to hate us if we acknowledge that we made a mistake in foreign policy and take the measures necessary to leave Iraq.

we have given iraq all they deserve and more. we need to pull out now. the bloodbath that the conservatives squawk about will come no matter when we leave. we cannot fix iraq to our satisfaction and we cannot stay forever. we don't owe it to the world to stay. what we owe the world if we owe anything is to concentrate our energies on the home front and get strong again. secure our borders and take care of ourselves and the few friends we have on this planet. an attack on the usa is certainly in the near future. we need to get ready and have our soldiers at home.

I support our men and women that are over there as we all should...After all, it is them that we owe a debt of gratitude for giving their lives so that we can live in the comforts of our homes here...
Yes, I know that people say this or that, but...here is the deal..it doesn't matter anymore...we need to stay to try and help..I don't know what we can or hope to achieve for these people..Saddam is gone..if they can Osama..then great..things will and can change...but, everything comes at a price...
I do believe we owe it to all the US soldiers that have given their lives in this war as well as past wars to complete the mission...but, what do I know?...I come from a long line of military people...
