No, they never have any real facts to back up their claims or to dispute Conservative claims, and thus result to ad hominem attacks and hatefullness.

Neither the liberals or the conservatives are 'fair' when posting. Almost none of these questions are asked for real answers no matter which side of the political spectrum they are coming from.
It's not even the answers so much as the questions. They are almost all slanted from one direction or another...such as this question.
The amount of hate and intolerance (and smugness) in the answers and the questions is pretty staggering.
Most of them, I think, are posted to start arguments or just so the asker can let off some steam. It's rare (for the short time I've been here) to see someone ask a question that the asker hasn't already decided the answer to (at least in their own minds).
The result of most of the questions in this section is to show the asker's bias/ignorance of issues or people.
Having said that, I still answer some of them because it's fun.

Some conservatives here are certainly unfair as well, but I have to agree you - the liberal bias from some posters on Y!A tends to get ridiculous at times. Redneck-stereotyping, Bush obsession, and total ignorance of certain historical events/periods is common here. Some Y!A Liberals make decent points from time to time, but others seem to viewing the world as they'd like it to be, rather than what it really is...

If Yahoo Answers was about fairness, you would have an issue. Then again, so would the liberals who post here, who are routinely subjected to various kinds of written abuse by the conservative posters.
However, Yahoo Answers is an information, and to a certain extent, an opinion, forum, and Yahoo itself doesn't seem to make any judgments about content, so long as their rules of posting content are followed.

There are many on Yahoo who are for the most part fair to all points of view. However, from my experience, I would say fairness is lacking more from the conservatives. Just my observations.

No. But this isn't anything new to us right-thinking people. We have been at a disadvantage for decades with the Leftists in control of the mainstream media.
Same for the new media. We have to watch our P's and Q's twice as hard, or risk being bashed and trashed with great vengence. But it is doable.
We are blessed with that uniquely America spirit of optimism that was the hallmark of our Founding Fathers, and was reborn under Ronald Reagan.

Well I don't think the right-wingers on YA are at all fair to the liberals who post here. The reactionaries report and block you every time you criticize them. They insult the liberals because they have no argument.

Any political talks are bound to get little heated especially on internet where everybody can remain anonymous. Ever seen BIll O'Reilly?

It can go both ways, the conservatives are not exactly fair to the leftist who post here.

I treat them as fairly as they treat me....no better, no worse. I think Conservatives are not very fair to Liberals....they ask us a question and many Liberals give reasonable answers with sources and the extreme right wing blubbers on about how liberals can't give you any facts, evidence or reasons....when we just did!

If by leftists you mean anti-republicans, then no, I don't think we are, as a group, any less fair than you "rightists."
