He still won't get my vote, but he has gained some more respect with me...

NASHUA, N.H. - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took aim at Democratic rivals on Sunday, calling them all unprepared to lead the country and comparing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's economic plan to that of Socialist Karl Marx.
"Hillary Clinton just gave a speech the other day about her view on the economy. She said we have been an on-your-own society. She said it's time to get rid of that and replace that with shared responsibility and we're-in-it-together society," Romney told the crowd. "That's out with Adam Smith and in with Karl Marx."
"Barack Obama said we're going to have to have the government take over health care. He at least had the integrity to say he wants to raise your taxes," Romney said. "The right answer is not a government takeover, it's not socialized medicine. It's not Hillarycare."

Karl Marx described himself as a scientific socialist. This was as opposed to a Christian socialist. There were socialists before Marx.
I do not know whether Karl Marx would regard Hillary as one of his. He would probably reject Obama on racist grounds.
My view is that in ordinary language - outside esoteric discussions of socialism - Obama and Hillary are both Marxists.

Have you even read Marx and Engels? They are not Marxists. The level of ignorance and stupidity is not even entertaining, just sad.

Yes I do agree with Mitt Romney. She does subscribe to Marxist economic philosophies. As for Barack Hussein Obama, he's not old enough to have learned who Karl Marx is yet.

It's sad that someone could have lived through the Cold War and yet still have learned so little about our enemies. The Pilgrims who landed on Plymouth Rock were in it together. Pioneers who got together for barn-raisings on the frontier were in it together. AAMOF, corporations are not individuals, and I haven't heard anyone on either side of the aisle advocate doing away with them. Neither Hillary nor Barack want to abolish religion, much less either state or worker control of corporations, which was the Marxist idea. Romney is just parading his ignorance, but I heard that no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of Americans.

No, it's a bunch of b.s. All Romney is doing is trying to capitalize on it because the far right wing keeps saying it, as though that makes it so. He can twist and flail about all he wants, making his own convenient interpretation and it still doesn't make it true. He's got a lot of nerve talking about Obama and Universal Health Care. He tried that in his own state and it failed miserably because he didn't have the brains to make it work. And he knows full well that Sen. Clinton isn't talking about socialism ideals, but talking about getting back to the way we used to be when we actually gave a damn about those struggling in this country. Romney is a snake oil salesman.

I agree that they are socialists and perhaps marxists.
I do like the things Mitt Romney has been saying, he is a good businessman and I think he is a good man.

I agree. The marxist principles of political economy runs parallel to exactly what hillary said: "(in marxism) Political economy, studies the mechanism of human activity in organizing material, and the mechanism of distributing the surplus or deficit that is the result of that activity." Sounds scarily similar to: "She said it's time to get rid of that and replace that with shared responsibility and we're-in-it-together society". What marxist, socialist pigs dems are.
