Hey, this fairness in the media act....OR WHATEVER it's called today, it inhibits free speech, forces the media to preach what the government dictates. We know that DUH right....

Ok, if it is so inhibitive to one of our fundamental rights, and you defend the rights of free speech so hard, DO YOU SUPPORT IT?

And yes, I do want to hear what all the dems to speak up because I want to know where you stand.

Spare me the banter, let's keep the educated ones answering.

At a local Amusement park their policy is that men must take out their keys and get screened with a security wand. Females are allowed to enter without being screened and no purse check either. More info: There is a female guard at the gate. So the excuse of can't screen women is out. Is it illegal to screen men only?

I worked for a day labor on the back of a garbage truck. The city is hiring. I'm considering it as the money is good, the maggots are bad. I've seen on crime shows, cops rub something under their noses when around decomposing corpses. What do they use?

Hi. I'm about to contract with the Army ROTC (2yr program), and I'm not totally confident about what I'm doing. I went to LTC, and I liked it. However, I think LTC is kind of a recruiting tool so I really need honest opinions from soldiers and retired soldiers who knows the real deal.
I have no immediate friend or family who have served in the military (except my grandpa in WWII).
I decided to look into ROTC because I was miserable. I had no idea what to do with my life and the military just seemed to be the perfect fresolution.
I'm against the Iraqi War.
But I'm still willing to go there and follow orders. Maybe it'll help to have some diversity of political opinion within the military.
I feel like this is the only choice I have.
I had very little time to think about it because I decided to do this few months ago and have to contract before the next semester if I am to enroll in the 2 year program. Please give me an honest advice.

Food preparation?

We all "NEED" to eat, right? So shouldn't the government have to pay for something we all "need"? I can only afford taco bell, but I want Ruth's Chris. Shouldn't I be "entitled" to a good meal?

Same argument as health care, right? I won't live as long eating taco bell as other restaurants.

"NASHUA, N.H. - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took aim at Democratic rivals on Sunday, calling them all unprepared to lead the country and comparing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's economic plan to that of Socialist Karl Marx."

Socialist this, Karl Marx that. On this forum, you can't go a single page w/o seeing something about socialism.

And once again someone from the GOP cannot debate the issues, so they once again turn to slandering the source.

I don't know if you guys noticed it, but the American people are growing tired of your GOP rhetoric. They're not being fooled anymore by unfounded slander.

Keep calling us Socialists. In fact, keep on saying it after we take the White House. That lets me know the real issues are not w/in your collective grasp and many others are catching on to this juvenile propoganda and seeing it for what it is.

is there a way that we can make abortion ILLEGAL, as in, not a choice for women who intentionally got pregnant (aka had sexual relations unprotected or otherwise) but still LEGAL for victims of incest and rape as well as for women whose babies have absolutely no chance of survival past the womb?
that's a law i would really support because i dont believe in abortion as an easy way out-- i DO believe in taking responsibility for our choices, and putting an unwanted child up for adoption is doing just that.

If the gov't made it a rule to provide for defenders a lawyer, then why not make it mandatory that everyone is entitled to college educations and free health care? We are spending billions anyway, why not make it worth our while?

Serious question...

And two, even if you don't, can you admit that the Big Bang theory is what most physicists believe in today?

Same question for evolution. Can you admit, that the vast majority of scientists believe in evolution? That evolution is in fact where the scientific concensus is right now?

In mid-2003, many states had postconviction DNA testing statutes, which typically allow testing when DNA evidence relating to a particular crime exists, and there is also a reasonable probability that the defendant would not have been convicted if DNA testing had been made available during his/her trial.

"many of the scientist believed the earth was flat"
- con
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aq7bH7.Zs46obRQ_qbb9NRHY7BR.?qid=20070722171317AAjOxYq

Name the scientist or scientific organization who believed that...

You can't, because modern science (as in scientific method) didn't begin until the Age of Enlightenment with men like Copernicus, Galileo, Brache, Kepler, and Newton. Nobody, not even the Catholic Church, believed the Earth was flat then. Fundamentalists back then believed the universe revolved around the sun. People had figured out the earth was round since Greek times.

The Christopher Columbus controversy was not over whether the earth was flat, but how big it was. Google Columbus flat earth for more information.
