So mcgoo..you're saying that it's o k for the 6 imams to sue the people who reported them, for suspicious behavior??? They were "apparently" going through a 9-11 type exercise, and that SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN REPORTED??? Are you MAD??What would you have done???

Do you have a link to that story? Do you mean that the ACLU communist radicals are backing those radical imans who caused a big ruckus on an airplane? The American Communist Lawyers Assoc is an anti-Christian, socialistic organization who is doing all that they can to destroy our Western Culture. They are fighting communities that are trying to protect themselves from the illegal alien invasion.

Have you read the details of the San Diego case, or just the headlines from some blog?
The school set aside 15 minute for ANYONE to do anything they want quietly -- study, talk, pray in private -- whatever as long as it its raucous.
How is that benefiting one religion at the expense of others?

EDIT: In addition to the link above.... here's the link from the ACLU website of the dozens of cases in the past few years where the ACLU has defended the rights of Christians.

As far as the Imans, they were found to be totally innocent of anything. So, under the existing laws, it becomes a question of the intent of the persons who reported them. If those people were acting in good faith, based on reasonable suspicions, then they are already immune. If they were acting based purely on racial prejudice, or otherwise bad faith, they are liable for harassment. That's the current law.

Hey genius. You can not pass a law which make someone immune to any consequences if they make a report.
We had such a law in Missouri to allow a totally anonymous report of child abuse to be called in. Took very little time for some people to use this law to harass good people with a stream of false reports. The authorities even new that the reports were fakes, and could do nothing to stop them. Is that what you want. To be able to call a report on anyone who dose not look like you or talk the way you want?
What you should pass, is a law that gives you a defense against such a law suit, if ' any reasonable person would suspect that a problem that should be reported existed'. This would allow for the honest mistake to be forgiven, but give a person who is stopped or harassed due to a false or malicious report, to be sued for damages.

I do not get the ACLU not standing up for the people who turned in the praying imams. The ACLU helped out Rush Limbaugh. Why not the people speaking out?

They also fight for Christians.
The ACLU fights just as hard for INDIVIDUAL free exercise of religion as the ACLU fights against GOVERNMENT endorsement, sponsorship, or establishment of religion. Despite this fact, many people spread misinformation about the ACLU around the internet, innocently and maliciously, falsely claiming the ACLU is anti-religion or anti-Christian.
Edit: Read the website referenced. Or do you prefer to live in ignorance? Knowledge is Power!

I thought only Chaney was above the law. Now you want every goonie and loonie to be unaccountable to the courts. Have a neighbor you don't like, just report him as a terrorist. The law is a crackpot idea by the freaks who have no idea of what this country is all about.

The republicans let this one go to fight the ACLU (American Communist Losers Union) with their own actions. Let the Muslims have their 15, that will open the door for Christians to get at least 15 too. Let's see them talk their way out of letting one religion have it over another.
