Fake police badges, flip flopping detailed on youtube... Everything looks 100% scripted when he is shown on TV. I think he's gone.

So far he is in third place and in 4th behind Fred Thompson (who is not yet running). Hopefully his religion has nothing to do with whether he gets a nomination or wins an election. It seems an otherwise very capable candidate is disqualified in some minds based solely on one's religion. Time and again, while presidents have been religious, the religion of the president really hasn't made much difference in how they governed. The one exception is George W. Bush who seems to think he has a direct line to the Almighty and that The Great Provider Of All Things, talks just to him and councils him daily. So Nixon was paranoid, could GWB be schizophrenic?

Despite the fact that he has the look and smarts to run, I don't think he can win. I think when the election gets tough, his religion and flip flops will come out. Remember what they did to John Kerry on flip flops? Mitt has more blatant position changes than any candidate I've ever seen.

"Oven" Mitt Romney is about as conservative and "Bushie" as they come...

But he lacks one thing that allowed George Bush a clean slate... Mainstream Christianity.

I think the cons will support Fred "TV" Thompson... and he is so far up Bush's butt that he will certainly lose.
Especially with his support from Newt "Ghetto Speak" Gingrich...

It seems like he's buying his way in and acts too perfect for someone who would like to double the torture camps.
