Oh, I see you've met bombs away today. If he didn't send you one yet--he will. Got my rant this morning. Since he has nothing to contribute anyway--I blocked him. ;-)

Yes...People can't handle it. Many are lead by their emotions and the same REALLY applies with the religion and spirituality gang. I sometimes haunt that category too and believe me when I say they get fired up and that's an understatement. I have fun with all of this Y/A stuff and as you've seen my rants and diatribes before you know this. I can play pretty rough to get peoples attention but I mean no one any bad intentions. There are a lot of folks including those whom I've met here who disagree with my positions that I respect for their views and would enjoy corresponding with. Still, you have to be cautious for there are some people that would cause you grief and maybe even do physical harm.
BE CAREFUL

Half the posters on YA politics have disabled their emails because of this stalker...He is unstable and YA suspends his ID's but like a bad case of herpes he some how reappears with a new ID. I try to slap him silly at least once a day.

I'm not sure it's normal, but let's just say it's not uncommon.
However, I must say that the e-mail option does allow us from time to time to work through the details of our disagreements. All too often, people respond only to the particular portion of a post they find most irksome, and ignore the rest. E-mail (when un-blocked) can allow us to discuss all elements in depth.
It's not always fruitful, but it's sometimes fun.
Persevere!!

I can believe it as people tend to get very passionate about politics, but that doesn't give them the right to abuse you either. I don't allow email from people in this forum - too many nutcases out there. If this abuse continues, you might want to do the same thing and not allow others to email you.

No, not normal. It is, in fact, insane, unethical, dishonorable, and unpatriotic.
There are three ways to know you have kept your ethics and honor:
1) you are called names;
2) you have false rumors spread about you;
3) they treat you as "guilty until proved innocent".
Think about it. This someone doesn't care about what you say. They aren't arguing that. THEY HATE YOU for challenging their self-image. They see the facts you share as personal attacks! They don't want the truth, they want things that don't challenge their image of the world, hence the need to call you names and attack personally when you haven't.
When that fails, they try to attach bad things to you, spreading rumors that are patently false but are meant to hurt you by association. What kind of mental frame of mind is necessary to justify such an action?
"I am right no matter what they say, and they are wrong so anything I say about them is justified."?
Does that sound like integrity to you?
Lastly, "guilty until proved innocent". We do that with our Presidents a lot. Contemptible, isn't it. What person would you have to be to totally abandon one of the basic principles of our country and justice itself just to hurt someone who said something you disagreed with?
These are the people you least want in a proud nation, the ones who use the system for their advantage, but would never give people even their basic rights if it went against what they themselves wanted. It's all about them.
How dare you challenge them? It doesn't matter how nicely you phrase your response or question, they take it personally because...
...people who take it personally have made their ideas part of their self-image, or worse, part of their self-esteem!
How do you change such an idea if it is incorrect?
Painfully, and they will never be grateful to the person who causes them to feel such pain.
If you are going to Hell. So am I. I think it must be filled with very nice people if that person is correct. And I must say that perhaps the modern Nazi party is full of a lot of nice people as well, because a surprising number of nice people are called Nazis.
Besides, I'll get to meet most of our Presidents.
And I won't have to meet the guy who wrote you... .

Pretty normal unfortunately. I find it amusing though. Many of these people are so passionately blinded by their hate of anything that doesn't conform to their world view that you can't help but pity their ignorance. Generally speaking I just ignore them because no matter how hard they try they can never hurt me with mere words.

lol - Yes, not nice and really not funny but, periodically common nonetheless.
I laugh only because I rather enjoy seeing the libs expose their lack of class and 'acumen.'
Just today, I wrote back to one of them suggesting that their time would be better spend waiting in line for a Harry Potter book than inundating me with their lala-land fabrications and then, I was done with him - he didn't respond back.

I get them daily from John Doe1st aka: count acumen, the shiarz clone, the chicken hawk dude, and a few others, many are racist as well , libs seem to think if we dont think like them they have the right to stalk and harrass us. They will use multi reporting to have your account disabled, and use Marxist tactics to attempt to force their views on others

It seems to be normal for one sad degenerate. I have heard from a lib that it goes both ways and have seen a nasty person doing it to a lib.
Hope it wasn't a conservative.
I would think it unlikely, but you never know.
I think you speak your mind. That is respectable.
