OK! I live with my dad right now, and we do not get along so I was wondering if I could move back in with my mother when i turn 18.... also i was wondering if he would be able to do anything to keep me from moving out, like going to a lawyer.....please someone help me out here i'm so tired of putting up with his crap & i only have 6 more months until i turn 18

you could move out now if you wanted to and no police officer would touch you. The reason in most states you can choose which parent you want to live with at 16. Another reason is by the time you get a court hearing addressing the matter you would have turned 18 so no one touch the case.

You can move on your own when you turn 18. You'll be an adult then. Of course-you can move with your mother if you wish. But you can get a job & save up for a cheap apartment.

As soon as you are 18 you have a right to move out of there and go live wherever you want. No one can stop you. No attorney can do a thing to prevent you from leaving.

When you turn 18 you can live wherever you want to. He has no legal right to keep you from leaving the house when you turn 18.

Where do you live? In most (if not all) states when you are 18 you are an adult and can make your own decisions.

18 is pretty much the age of majority.

I recommend you not burn bridges as you go, though. Never know when you might need him.

At the age of 18 you are considered an adult and can do as you please.
