In Reference to the Property Tax issue use fees that are added to your property tax cover the schools take a look at your bill just the tax alone doesnt cover you have the tax and then you have user fees or service fees. That you can pay every year but the property tax every year is criminal. when you buy something you pay tax on it ONCE why not with property

Some of those items sound like the Fair Tax. I would like to see these items happen. I do doubt that none of these will happen even if that person was elected. You would have to the majority of 535 to vote for it.

I would probably say this is a 2nd tier candidate in the Republican arena, like Tom Tancredo or Duncan Hunter.

I agree with Mary. Some of those ideas I would favor but these are just the kinds of ideas candidates bring up during elections without explaining how they're going to do them. And the reason for that is that they sound good unless you think about what would be necessary to implement them.

For instance without yearly property tax how are we going to pay for schools, sewers, streetlights, street maintenance, etc. etc? So many politicians--especially Republicans--promise to cut taxes but never explain which govt. programs they're going to eliminate to save the money, because that's not as popular as cutting taxes. So they end up spending us into debt, and it ends up costing more, not less.

Abolishing the IRS and income tax has the same problem--are you just going to shut down the government? Or were you going to raise other taxes to make up for property and income taxes? Only the Libertarians actually come out with a list of programs they want to eliminate. But you'll notice they never get elected.

The idea of medical savings accounts has some merits, but won't work for people who are really in need. A 25-year-old who gets cancer and it costs $100,000, for instance. No way he could have saved that up by now. So then what?

With the exception of possibly being against illegal immigration, the president has no control over those ideals. Most of those rights belong to the states and the rest to congress. Have you read the constitution lately?

100% YES!!!! Abolishing the Federal Reserve/IRS/Income Tax would help our currency to get back on the gold standard, and make our currency actually have spending power more than the 4cents it's worth now. All of the info sounds good. Well that's the main reason I'm voting RON PAUL!!!!

Yes, who is this, I think it is Lou Dobbs. I just finished his book and it was wonderful. I believe Lou is our best choice for President. Keep up the good work!
