I am an Australian Citizen who is currently in Australia. My husband is in the US Air Force and is currently living in America...What is the process for me being able to live over in America. I have my Military ID card. Does that entitle me to live in America now but not work?

Your husband needs to apply for your card on your behalf.

Your husband needs to petition you with the Citizenship and Immigration Service just like any other immigrant. The Air Force will not assist him and his service will not count for or against you.

The process is easy and very straight forward. If he applies before July 30th he'll save a lot of money because the application fees are going up on that date.

You can find the forms and instructions here:
http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

He needs to file the following:
I-130
I-134
G-325

along with all the supporting documentation required. You should receive a packet of information from the US embassy or a US consulate in about 6 months. After you complete the instructions in the packet you'll return them. You'll be called for an interview at the US embassy or a US consulate of your choice within 4 to 8 weeks. You'll get your visa a few days after the interview.

Come over on a 6 months visa, he applies for your papers and if it takes longer apply for an extension, under the circumstances, you'll more the likely live here forever.

He has to file a form or forms for you, depending on how you enter depends on what he would file for you. He needs to call USCIS at 1-800-375-5283 and they can tell him what he needs to do.

He starts by going up the chain of command.
he will know what this is.
He goes to his nearest superior, who goes to HIS superior, who goes up the ladder,The object us, to solve problems at the lowest possbile level. Obviously, this is more complicated, but the prodecure to be folowed is the same.
