If so, what do think we should do about it?
If not, why?

Now that we know Hillary didn't even read the pre-war intelligence, but just trusted the Bush administration and voted for the war, can we really trust her with important decisions? Whether the war was right or wrong, doesn't her failure to avail herself of all the facts constitute reckless disregard?

No need to recount all the reckless disregard on the part of republicans. This question is about Hillary and her failure to perform due diligence.

False.

How would you feel about painting a house that was going to be torn down next week? Even worse, what if it was going to be torn down because it was somehow put there illegally?

People that believe they can support the troops and say the war is wrong, illegal, unjust, fabricated, etc are simply deluding themselves. The truth is this - You are destroying our soldiers' morale.

If it wasn't bad enough that in Last August alone, according to Gore burned through 22,619 kilowatt-hours of electricity, more than twice the amount in one month that an average American family uses in an entire year!!! http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll&friendID=55724128
a week after Live Earth, eco-warrior Al Gore didn't do much for his green credentials when he shocked fellow environmentalists by serving up an endangered fish at a wedding rehearsal dinner.
The former US vicepresident provided 75 guests with Chilean sea bass - one of the world's most threatened fish species.
Gore who created the climate change documentary An Inconvenient Truth, sampled a sixcourse tasting menu at Beverly Hills' Crustacean restaurant which included the sea bass - also known as Patagonian toothfish.

It would seem to fit their ideals. You have socialized healthcare (whish is just so darn good), cheap pharmacueticles, many social programs where the government babies you and does everything for you, they are very pollitically correct, they rarely go to war or make a stand for defending anything since they rely on the US to do that and the eastern part of the country has a huge French influence! What is not to like for the libs. It wouldn't even be a huge move to make. Even Hollywood is making more movies there... (since they can't afford their unions)

I just can't see why they aren't leaving in record numbers... especially since they hate this country so much.

childish fingerpointing, on both sides? Is there any real chance for a third party to emerge with any real oomph behind it? Who would be the best moderate Presidential candidate for 2008? Is there anything that can be done to alleviate this Bush vs. Clinton crowd mentality?

I have played my part in this bi-partisan bickering too, so I am not blaming anyone, I really would like to see a middle of the road candidate win in 08. Who is that?

Democrats' sleepy Senate Iraq vote shot down...

So whining and complaining and acting like they are 5 year olds didn't accomplish the task they set out to do? "Waaaaa, waaaaaa.... stop the war or I won’t go to bed.... waaaaa waaaaa..."

I wish the libs would grow up and deal with this war like adults. The Republicans are not going to get off scott free... we need to learn how to work together.. but like grown ups. I don't think this is too much to ask of our "leaders".

What are your thoughts?

Ok here goes. About 4 years ago, I was behind on my car payment with Ford Credit. I had a lease. I only had 5 payments left on my lease. I moved from Texas to Georgia, called and informed them, gave them address, phone numbers, etc. Hubby was trying to find a job so we were a little behind. I called and made arrangements. I made the payment when I said I would leaving us only 20 days late. Two days later, the car was taken. I called them and they didn't know why they would take it, then someone called and told me I had to pay 3 months to get it back. Anyways, haven't heard anything for 4 years, now I get a letter about a judgement and garnishment and that I owe 19K. Back when it happened, they said it was like 12K. How can I owe that much on a lease, shouldn't I only be responsible for the rest of the lease and since they screwed up and took it in error, how can I be held accountable? Can I get out of this garnishment?

Whenever we read articles about detainee abuse, renditions, or domestic wiretapping, the perpetraitors of these eggregous acts always say, "The means are necessary to potect our freedom, blah, blah, blah..."

But they always say it in the context of tying to get themselves off the hook. If these ends are so impotant as to override our legal famework and our notions of morality, shouldn't they be woth going to jail for?

Who thinks like me that Fireworks are not only a waste of money but also a fire hazzard in dry areas like Utah

Govenor Huntsman from Utah, has spoken out against Fire works. Authorized the cities to their own disgretion to allow or to prevent fireworks. I too think , with the drout condition that we currently experience and shortage of our water supply fireworks are more of a hazzard than a beautification of holidays. Besides a waste of money. What do you all think?

Clinton had an affair with an intern in the white house and lied about it, taking the presidency to a new low. Bush has taken it to a whole another level with a plethora of lies, deceit, incompetence and greed. It can be argued that had Clinton not had the salacious affair, the issues and politics of the 2000 election would have been quite different. The presidency would have not had the sad decline it has had in the past 10-12 years. And the degree of partisanship would have been much much lower as a result. What say?

Looking back he has not gotten one of his predictions on what will happen in Iraq right so far. Lets review

"I strongly believe he was trying to reconstitute his nuclear weapons program." - UNTRUE

Mission accomplished- 3483 American casualties after this was said.

Bush, 05/2006.
"We have now reached a turning point in the struggle between freedom and terror."

Bush, 12/2005.
"2005 will be recorded as a turning point in the history of Iraq ... and the history of freedom."

Bush, 5/2005.
"Good news to the men and women who fought ... their mission is complete."

lets not forget Cheney

Cheney, 3/2003.
"I think it'll go relatively quickly, …Weeks rather than months."

Cheney, 5/2005.
"They're in the last throes, if you will, of the insurgency."
there are many more
But my question is this: Why do you believe anything this man says? He says "They will follow us home" and people believe him, He hasn't been right yet.

If a military psychiatrist first diagnoses you with bipolar, and you were in the DENIAL stage, and said that you don't have bipolar. And switches your diagnosis to severe depression instead, but then knowing 3 years later you really did have bipolar, does that mean that the military is to blame for not treating you correctly?

For example, i'm a definite believe that the gov't uses the news to manipulate us. They twist stories and make claims abt the status of terrorism so it is convienent for them. What's your opinion?

Is it simply becuase Democrats and Liberals are against it?
Is that all the value you place on our troops lives? Your hate for Democrats and Liberals is more important than their lives.

If this war is so "right and just", please tell us why. And please tell us if the loss of 3500 U.S. troops and thousands of Iraqi civilians are worth the reasons you listed to say it is a "right and just" war.
