Elizabeth Edwards is getting desperate. Her husband just can't get up the hill enough to be within shouting distance of Clinton, or even Obama for that matter. But I find it strange that she's calling Clinton out on women's issues. That's all Sen. Clinton's been talking about for more than a month, and has been gathering women's support by amazing numbers in the last couple of months. Probably exactly why she took that specific avenue in criticizing her come to think of it. It won't help. In fact, intelligent women see that as a back handed insult when accused of "acting" like a man. As though being a man is something we all secretly desire lol. As though being a tough, uncompromising woman takes your femininity away and you're left with nothing but being a man. Ah well, again, it won't help Edwards.

Of course it was fair. Hillary does behave like a man. Unfortunately for Mrs. Edwards her husband acts like a woman!

Well, what she said is true so it is fair.
Here's an excerpt from one of the things said in the article:

Clinton expects the support of women voters just because she is a woman, Elizabeth Edwards said.

"She says, 'Support me because I'm a woman,' and I want to say to her, 'Well, then support me because I'm a woman.' The question is not so much how she campaigns -- that's theater. The question is, what does her campaign tell you about how she'll govern? And I'm not convinced she'd be as good an advocate for women.

Elizabeth even attacked Clinton's campaign slogan:

"When she announced her candidacy she said, 'I'm in it to win it.' What is that? That's not a rationale."

I don't think that is fair, I really like Elizabeth a lot but I hope she doesn't start being like Kerry's wife Teresa Heinz was and he lost. If your husband is running let him run his Candicy and don't start snipping at the other candidates , Kerry wife started making remarks that was uncalled for and he is hen pecked and it just don't look right. Don't run your on party Canidates down until 2 have been chosen who will be the leader nomination for your party. the final canidates. that is the time to start showing your dislike. I know Elizabeth is sick and she is worn out, but don't make the mistake Heinz did, let your husband run his own campaign just back him but not with words to other party canidates.

Isn't this the same Elizabeth Edwards that said we should stop all of the personal attacks and just stick to the issues?

The real offensive statement here is the assumption that only women care about "women's issues" and that men look down on them for it.

She was trying to undermine Hillary's support amongst women. I personally doubt that Hillary has that much support amongst women, to begin with. Other than far-left nut jobs.

Was it fair? Probably not, especially since it would be a low-blow for Hillary to fight back against a "cancer victim".

No- Hillary should be fuming. What does Elizabeth mean by saying "behaving LIKE a man???" Hillary has bigger nads than Bill under those pant suits!

LOL! She also said Johnny is a woman in a round about way.

"Sometimes you feel like you have to behave as a man and not talk about women's issues. ... She wants to be commander in chief. But she's just not as vocal a women's advocate as I want to see. John is," Elizabeth Edwards said in an interview with Slate.com.

Fair, no, since Ms. Edwards with her medical difficulties is pretty much an untouchable entity. She'll be able to get away with quite a few jabs with out any flack.

Not saying she isn't right though! ;-)
