I'm 17, and I already filled out those Government issued forms saying that I did NOT want to be on the recruiting list for the military. I turned it in, everything should've been fine.

But then yesterday, I got a call from the U.S. Navy asking for me. Now I'm really worried. I know that drafting doesn't happen (right now), but are they still allowed to have your name and number if you filled out those forms that request that I have NO affiliation with the military or navy? Can they actually knock on your door and physically drag you out of the house and force you to join? I know there's no way that could be officially legal, but does that happen behind closed doors? People I know have been telling me horror stories, and I while I truly respect those brave enough to fight for the U.S., I do NOT want to join up.

During that phone call, as soon as I found out it was the Navy, I cut him off and immediately asked him to take me off the call list, and hung up.

I was watching a youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHMUq5Oqyo0 about the most recent riot concerning the one child policy.

The video toward the end has Japanese newscasters talking about the penalties for violation the one child policy. I knew about the heavy fines that could be imposed but they also talked about (in subtitles) that extra children could be denied Chinese Citizenship.

Is this true or a case of bad reporting or just bad subtitles?

TIA

It's not a big deal to change your party designation. You can do it at most libraries, and post offices. The form is one page and takes just a few minutes to fill out. But you should be thinking about doing it now. The primaries start in **January** and you have to have switched before you can vote.

YOU can help nominate Ron Paul.

After that, you can change your party affilitation to whatever you want - and vote for him again in November!

I was arrested for failure to appear for a littering ticket. I got this ticket 4 years ago when I was 17. I'm 21 now. They came to my house and arrested me in the middle of dinner. I had to pay $245.50 to get out of jail. I was just wondering if this is legal because I was under age when I "failed to appear".

I have very liberal, drug abusing neighbors. I can't tolerate their drug habit which DISGUSTS me, or their philosophies. What can I do about this? Yesterday, they slapped a new animal rights bumper sticker on the car. I'm in research. They don't even understand how research on animals benefits us all. Any way to force a liberal to move?

Last week, the local police department of a small suburb of New Orleans handed out 30 citations for driving without a license. Of those 30, 16 were illegal immigrants. Should they be deported? Why or why not.

We all know soldier pay isn't the greatest. In s. germany we have been on the waiting list since feb. for a 4 bdrm. apt. unit on post. Finally got the "good news" call along w/ something unexpected (i.e., just b.c. wifey is having a 3rd child does not entitle one to move up from a 3 bdrm. to a 4 bdrm. on the neighboring post at government cost). So my husband viewed the apt. today, was informed he had until 3 pm to decide yay/nay (after seeing the quarters at 11 am), has to fund the move himself (w/ the euro the move will be anywhere between $2k-$4k) + only has 3 days to do it. We would love to do it (however, I am nearing 8 mos. preg. at the end of this month and have to also care for my hyperactive 3 year old son and thankfully "normal" 5 year old daughter--plus I have some issues w/ organization + am very small so can't lift heavy things, not to mention the pregnancy. Always been between 98lbs-102lbs when not pregnant and have sticks for arms) on our own, but he had to fight
