according to a news report last night. Where I live I dont know anyone who doesnt think there are too many immigrants and so I would suggest that the figure is higher. What do you think? And any suggestions about how we can get them to go home?

If Bush is for the immigration bill and the democrats have controll of the house and senate, how can the republicans stop the bill from being passed. I'll tell you why. The democrats that will be running for re-election in the house and senate know this will kill their '08 chances and they are blocking passage of this bill. They can spin it all they want. The truth is they have control of the house and senate and Bush is begging for the bill to be passed and the democrat's polls have shown them that their voter base will dump them if they hand this bill to Bush.

With all the scandals, cover ups & corruption coming from both Dems & Repubs; When will the people say enough is enough?

All this talk about what they stand for or whom they stand for is all rhetoric & games. All they do is look out for themselves & their elite friends.

Take for instance after 9/11, wouldn't you think the borders into this country would be secure after 5+ years, and wouldn't you think we would have a QRF that could respond to anything within 24 hours?

See what I mean.....it's all rhetoric of what they are going to do or whom they are going to protect or take care of.

Does anyone realize how much permanent damage is being done to the Constitution, in exchange for the perception of some ethereal "safety?"

Politics, in other words, is usurping our rights. Of course, that's why the Constitution was written the way it was: the writers understood tyranny. Of course, that's why our rulers ignore it.

What I don't know is: why do we tolerate that? Stupid, lazy, ignorant, selfish, scared, powerless? You choose.

If this isn't you, tell me what you've actually done. (Remember, lynchings are illegal!)

I parked in a side street off a main road. I was parked near the end of a road where it meets the main road and received a parking fine. I have parked here nearly every day for months and this is the first fine I have received. There were no yellow lines, there were no signs explaining any parking rules and I had left plenty of space at the end of the road so that any passers by wishing to cross the side street did not have to walk around my car to do so.

Can I appeal againts this parking fine?

We understands that China is strong in both military and economy. Nevetheless, we also the noted the importance of Hong Kongers' voice and that only a truely independent Hong Kong can thus ensure this.

Hence, no matter how strong China is, we will continue to fight for formal Hong Kong Independent.

Is it possible for a psychopath to be 'personable,' like the great American author Kurt Vonnegut Jr. said, before he died?
http://books.guardian.co.uk/extracts/story/0,,1691370,00.html

If you felt you could sit down and have a beer with a guy who calls himself the 'decider', would you ignore evidence that he authorized the mass murder of 3000 of your citizens, to garner support for wars, any wars, and missile defense systems your country cannot afford, and doesn't need?

Would you ignore the hundreds of thousands of other deaths caused (or justify them), the millions of refugees created (and more enemies), the billions of dollars of debt caused by unnecessary wars?

Would you attack people who pointed out that this guy is a psychopath, because you feel you could have a beer with him?

There was no immediate reaction from the bill's numerous Senate critics, who have consistently attacked the legislation as conferring amnesty on the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants living in the country.
At the White House, spokesman Scott Stanzel said, "We are encouraged by the announcement from Senate leaders that comprehensive immigration reform will be brought back up for consideration."
On Tuesday, the president made a rare visit to the Capitol to ask Republican senators to give the bill a second chance. Two days later, responding to a request from pivotal GOP senators, he threw his support behind $4.4 billion in immediate funding for "securing our borders and enforcing our laws at the work site." As drafted, the legislation called for the money to become available over a period of several years.
Under a plan that key lawmakers presented to Reid and McConnell, Republicans and Democrats each will have 10-12 opportunities to amend the measure, with the hope that they will then combine to provide the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster by die-hard opponents.
Officials said the Bush-backed plan for accelerated funding would be among the changes to be voted on. So, too, a proposal by Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, to toughen a requirement for illegal immigrants to return to their home country before gaining legal status.
Bush is leaning on the Republicans to support his Amnesty plan.

As a Christian, I have watched assault after assault on my freedom of religion in my own county. My children in school, can, do, and are in certain classes required to read, from and about, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and now witchcraft (harry potter) while at the same time denied the right to read or quote or list the bible as a source of info. My children are taught as “FACT “that they came from nothing, that life is nothing, and when they die they will turn back into nothingness, if they disagree they fail. Has anyone seen any attack from the ACLU on any other religion besides Christianity? This is not a debate on religion just on what seems to me to be a attack on only Christians.

in my opinion, putting the jews in palistine after the war was the worst mistake in history, they now have to much power and influence. and where such power can be controlled (with the exception of USA), Israelites are possibly the most racist and hipocritically judgemental people on earth. and to top it all off, they rename the rightly muslim owned country from palistine to Israel.

just to note, im not having a go at jews as a people (many are very nice), just that those in Israel are too dangerous.

anyone have the same view?
