Would you consider not filing your taxes until July 4th as a form of protest for the new amnesty legislation? Just wondering, I heard this idea come up om the radio this morning

Please dont get this wrong I AM a very loyal American. I think our government has become a dictatorship and the voice of the people can no longer be heard. if enough people made a concious effort to delay filing their tax return i think it would turn the heads of our lawmakers and prove that the citizens still control this country

I believe it was the fathers of our nation who faced a problem much like this and they were being taxed unfairly.
It was a long and bloody road to the independance you enjoy today.

Sorry Fraginal but, the crap you just typed has nothing to do with the question asked. How did you ever get to be a top contribor is beyond me.
I would not consider this because it puts me down on the level of the people I disagree with. I will continue to follow the rules of the country I live in and not to take advantage of the rest of it's citizens. I will however be more than happy to take part in a peaceful nationwide demonstration to show our government that we want the illegal aliens rounded up and sent home. I would also be willing to participate in a nationwide boycott of any place that considers hiring illegals or catering to them.

I don't know about you, but I couldn't afford to not pay my taxes until July 4th. Government penalties are very harsh. I would support a protest to illegal immigration and the amnesty legislation in another way. I would be willing to boycott any company hiring illegals. The Illegal problem wouldn't be so far out of hand if our government would have been enforcing our laws for as long as the laws have been on the books. I blame them and the major companies that started letting this happen. Figure out a better way of protesting and I will be in line to help.

If we started letting people into this country without the proper paperwork through the proper channels, then we might be letting in the one person who's going to blow up a building, or murder hundreds (or thousands) of people. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the people coming here across the border just to have a better life, but the problem is, how do we know who's who? I think if someone's been here a certain number of years, with a family, etc... then we should let them stay and apply for citizenship. But right now, because of the terrorism threats, I say watch the border with all we got! (no, I would still do my taxes, but depending on the legislation, I might consider pickiting.)

Every "better life" that these destitute uneducated illegal invaders enjoy by receiving entitlements that they shouldn't qualify for lowers the quality of life for everyone else. You can't continue this influx of the lowest economic class without eventually destroying our middle class. A better life? The reality is that they are here to send US dollars out of the Country...period. Delay paying taxes? Who wouldn't like to, but there are better ways to protest. Boycotting businesses that hire illegals is the better idea.

Yes I my area they are way way way to many illegal aliens. They stand at the 7/11 by the hundreds in the morning. As they move across the highway together its like a giant herd of mexicans. MMPs or Mexicans Male prositutes are also a major problem as they try to flag down their latino johns at major intersections. These people deficate on the sidewalk and just create a sense of disbelieve in our government.

Illegal immigration is just as bad in the UK! Our government is giving them housing, benefits and allowing a lot to stay! I know we should be looking out for each other but when I get rejected for a council flat after serving my country for 18 years but an illegal immigrant gets one instead I think it's time we all made our feelings known.

You'll go to jail for that. But I think it's a great way to send a message.

The illegals mostly benefit from OUR tax dollars.

Protesting something that is illegal by doing something illegal is a bit hypocritical and would cause your credibility to fly right out the window.

Immigration must be regulated so that there will be order in the society. Illegals have no proper way of paying taxes, applying for work and more often end up availing of social services thereby depriving citizens of their hard-earned money being paid as taxes.
