a temporary switch to register as a Democrat would be the very best thing to do to effect the outcome of the next election..

by voting in unison for Obama..the Clinton socialist party
will be effectively derailed..and you can always give your money to Freddy or whoever rises above the fray.

I have done that. In Georgia, we don't register with one party or another, but you can't vote in *both* primaries.

I think once Gingrich announces, the Republicans will have good, strong and truly conservative choices in the primary.

I am going to have to vote for the positive instead of the negative this go around. Too much at stake to play the odds!!!

It's not a bad idea to switch parties to vote in the primary to elect the lesser of the evils. I think it is Obama who doesn't go to such extremes as the other loonies over there.

But, I think there's a more important thing to do. People should switch to Republican to get Rudy Giuliani the nomination (I just switched from Libertarian to do this). Wouldn't this political process be much better if we could finally rid both parties of religious zealots who wish to impose their brand of religion on the rest of us? We wouldn't have to hear any more about criminalizing a woman's right to make choices about her body. We would be rid of the desire of one party to enforce unequal protection of rights to gay men and lesbians. We would finally allow that gun permits is not an infringement of the 2nd Amendment but a necessary restriction to keep guns out of the hands of mentally ill people like in Virginia Tech. Rudy can go one to victory and finally rid both major parties of these goals.

Oh grow up!!!!! Clinton a socialist?? Both Clinton's are centrists.

We will not get good government until a lot more citizens develop some political maturity.

Re comments:

You right wing wankers have no idea what a socialist is. There are NO socialists running in the US - mostly centrists vs neocons

What you are suggesting that people do is a crime punishable by no less than a $35,000.00 fine and 5 years behind bars.

It's called "Pandering to commit voter fraud."

Too bad they won't let you switch right before the primary. If they could, what makes you think that Democrats wouldn't do the same thing? You play with fire like that, and you get burned.

Americans are politically ignorant. They bite on the small things, like abortion and religion, instead of the big things like the Iraq SNAFU and world standing.

What you are suggesting is to effectively undermine the process by which our representatives are elected. That's not just potentially illegal, it's downright un-American.

Doesn't matter who the Dems nominate. Obama, Clinton, etc...they will be defeated.
