We understands that China is strong in both military and economy. Nevetheless, we also the noted the importance of Hong Kongers' voice and that only a truely independent Hong Kong can thus ensure this.

Hence, no matter how strong China is, we will continue to fight for formal Hong Kong Independent.

Good luck. I support you, but I doubt you'll ever get what you want. China dosn't give back what it takes, look at Tibet... and the military force of China is way more than Hong Kong alone could ever raise to force China to recongnize its independance.

I think it's a better idea for Hong Kong to try to get the rest of China to fully accept capitalism, liberty, and democratic republican rule.

The only way you could effectivly be rid of Chineese dominance would be to attach Hong Kong to another power... like the United States... however the chances of that power wanting to get in the middle of that problem, or even if it did, being able to repel the millions of Chineese troops, are an extremely long shot as well.

Still, I wish you luck.

If Hong Kong were truly consumed by China many of its existing trade partners would get out, quick.

Hong Kong is a cash cow for China.

China will give it a bit of a free reign so long as it brings in the big $$$.

But face it, Hong Kong is full of Chinese, how can you call you say you want to be independent but still claim to be Chinese?
