Do you think we will have a republican in the white house in 2008?

The Republicans have as good of a chance as any of the Democrats. The day of the election when people close the curtain, it will be an intimate moment. Until then, the pundits try to shape perceptions and create win lose issues, manufacture voter happiness and outrage; but to the voter this is a personal choice that has public implications. It will be our voice that will make the request on which party will make residence at the White House in 08. Both parties have been derelict in their duties, if you look close enough to the voter it is a tie. As of today, know one has been able to out perform the other. As quiet as it is kept the heart of the matter of who will be President is deep within the heart of each voter. The mother who lost her son to the Iraq war, the Union worker whose benefits have been reduced, the single parent who works two jobs to make ends meet, the stock broker who has enjoyed a record year, the President of a multi-national corporation who must contend with the legacy healthcare costs, the jet set employee who has to deal with flight delays, the college voter who is trying to figure this out, the Senior Citizen that chooses between medicine or dinner, and then the Father who has to provide for his family. The Party that wins has to make sure they do not break our hearts, our families, our budgets, and our hopes.

Not very good odds for Republicans. Bush, his Administration, and his rabid vapid parrot-like supporters have diminished their chances to almost nothing. If this war is still on, the Republicans will lose badly. If they don't do something about the Republican stink of corruption coming from D.C. they will lose badly. Considering that neither of those things are likely to change, they are in trouble, and most of them know it, whether they will admit it or not. This country wants a regime change in '08, that's become crystal clear.

Given the choice in Democratic contenders, I would say the odds are good.

One reason: Democrats are promising to eliminate the deficits and get the United States' financial picture back in shape. All well and good. But they are also promising to initiate a univeral healthcare plan. Spending like this WILL NOT RESOLVE THE DEFICIT. It will only make it worse.

75% look who is running for the Dems...they are shooting themselves in the foot. And I am tired of hearing people claim Bush stole the presidency both elections. Good Lord...its called the Electoral College, you do not have to win the popular vote to win the election. You can be 100% in favor publicly, but if you do not have 270 votes of the 538...YOU LOSE

If the Republicans nominate Giuliani they have no chance.

If the Dems. nominate H. Clinton. they have no chance exept if Giuliani is nominated by Reps.

Basically we will have a Dem. Pres. in 2008.

Pretty close to 50/50, just like it always is.

If the Dems nominate Hillary or Obama, it will not be real close. No matter who the Repubs nominate in that case, it will be a landslide in their favor.

It could very easily happen considering Congress, who is majority Democrat, has lower approval ratings than the President right now.

It is a sure thing if the DNC is foolish enough to nominate Rottenham Clinton.
