ok im 16 years old, and i need help to tell my parents that im a lesbian but my parents really dont like gay people so how do i tell them without getting kicked out of my house?

Well, my father was in the military and I know how they feel about things like this.

First, I would talk to the parent that I relate to more with. Like if your mom is easier to talk to then talk to her. She will probably say things like "it's just a phase" or things of that nature. Tell her how you really feel.

Maybe you can talk to your school counselor and ask her/him to invite your mom in for a talk and you can discuss it with her that way. That way a professional non-biased person is there to help you both sort out your feelings.

I agree with mike b.

I see no reason to tell them for many more years yet, or ever, really. They may notice. From what you say, they probably won't.

When you're financially independent, if you really want to get it off your chest, tell them.

Your sexuality is no ones business but your own, throughout your life, if you so choose. One cannot choose ones sexuality but one can certainly choose when to make that sexual orientation public. Exercise that choice. Tell when you want to, not before.

you just have to do it. sit then both down, and say "i'm a lesbian" i don't think they will really care as long as you aren't "sexually active". if you are, then don't tell them that. they can't kick you out at 16, it's against the law and they can go 2 jail for child endangerment. but, you have to convince them that gay people aren't bad, just different (fyi im not gay, but i don't care if other people r"
