Last week, the local police department of a small suburb of New Orleans handed out 30 citations for driving without a license. Of those 30, 16 were illegal immigrants. Should they be deported? Why or why not.

Ms L.A. - we already had a woman raped and murdered by an illegal here in Metairie. In fact, it was in a public park.

Yes, they can earn their citizenship the way most of our ancestors did.

Yes!
And not simply because they were driving without licenses--that is a minor offense--they should be deported because they are here illegally and have NO RIGHT to be in the US.

Can a police officer pull you over to check that you're wearing your seatbelt? No, but if he pulls you over for another reason, he can ticket you for it if he notices you're not buckled up. The same reasoning applies in this situation...

In addition to citing them for driving without a license, they should have said "Oh, and I see you're here without a visa or green card as well!" and shipped their butts back home! You don't just write the citation and let them walk away! Whether they are here from Mexico, Germany, or any place in between, illegal is illegal is illegal, and they should not be here.

Of course they should be deported. Being here illegally means they dont belong here. Of course, that doesnt mean that they cant try going through the same process that LEGAL immigrants do to come here

A better question would be, *if they havent been deported yet, why not?*

Yes, they should. The majority of the citations were for illegal aliens, isn't that indicative of the problem here? They have no regard for our laws.
The degree of crime doesn't matter..deport.
Violent offenses are rampant as well.

Yes they should and if they'd just enforce the laws regarding immigration they would be deported. We don't need any immigration bills. We need the laws we already have to be put into play.

They should be deported because they're breaking the law just by being here not to mention every other law they're breaking. You think that because they received a citation they're going to stop driving without a license? How about the fact that they steal social security numbers to work here illlegally? I say send them back when they're caught breaking the law.

Yes because they are lawbreakers and they have not just broken one law. We have federal three strikes you're out laws and illegal aliens break at least three laws each time they enter the country illegally.

No not just for driving without a license. What about the citizens that did it too. What would we do to them?

Well, for sure two laws have been broken, how many more? Does it take murder or rape to get Americans riled up about law breaking?
