The threats and the insults are NOT necessary at all.

Those people lack the ability to look at things from another person's point of view. They also, usually, lack the ability to make their own decisions based off of a variety of facts from different sources. They allow themselves to be swayed by media and political and popular dogma without looking at things from an objective point of view. Todas de esas personas tienen ignorancia!!!!

That is pretty funny. People are so ignorant. As a white dude that appears to be in the minority of white dudes, I'm sorry you had to deal with that idiot.

In answer to your question, I have gotten hate e-mail before, too. I used to write letters to the editor in my local newspaper from time to time, often dealing with issues of racial intolerance and political warmongering. Our paper lists emails, and I was shocked at some of the stuff I got! What blew me away the most was not the insults and hate, though, but just the totally illogical and irrational arguments they made. Martin Luther King, Jr. called it perfectly: Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

sure, but I just call her husband and he keeps her off the computer for a while Seriously though. You can just ignore them or if you feel the need to respond then tell them this: No person on this earth has the knowledge or authority to say who will or will not be going to hell. Only God can determine this and He is a loving god. The only unforgivable sin is the sin of blasphemy. If everyday people could determine who went to hell then heaven would be pretty empty.

Yes, I have received hate mail from:

Josh
Mr. White Supermaicst the Secure American
Bush invented the Google

and countless others, but they were never racist. I'd report the person who sent you that email.

They're a bunch of idiots. Sexy Sarah sent me a hate mail a while back ago and I tried to respond and I couldn't email her because she had it blocked. What a moron.

Oh yes I have. I quit being open to e-mails because of it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but not to be so neanderthal as to attack someone personally. The whole point of a forum is to see pros and cons on all of the issues. If you don't think so then you're in the wrong place. Hate will never die, unfortunately, but we should be civilized enough to agree to disagree.

I have gotten a few. Some people are just soooo ignorant. Really what is the point in telling you to go anywhere, as if you would listen to what they have to say. What a waste of kilobytes.

Oh yeah. Daily from the pro-illegals. LOL. They don't bother me in the least. What are they going to do....shake their words at me in anger? I won't turn off my email because I also get some great emails from people I've "met" on here. Don't let them bother you.

Edit: I gave you a star for bringing this up and putting some light on it. As you can see, you aren't alone. We may all have differing opinions, but at the end of the day we're also people approaching the difficult problems in this little waterball world we inhabit.

To Ms. L.A.: You're safe as long as you don't open any attachments. The words are just that...words. If you are getting hate mail it's because you are getting your point across.

It probably means you hit a nerve in that person, which I think is great.... Unfortunately you have had to deal with some jerk, you may want to hide your email but I suggest you wear it like a badge of honor. I will give you a star for dealing with a peon with class.

I don't allow email. I think you and I are probably on opposing ends of this issue, but such email communication from anyone is reprehensible. I suggest you prohibit email in your setting, as well. There are some people who will go too far overboard on any issue. Better to keep a gate up.

Good luck.
