Yes, they are. My husband completed basic training at Fort Jackson in SC. You are not going to be showering with men or using the same bathrooms, not even sharing the same room. I noticed another response stated that women were put in different barracks buildings. That may be the way it is now and days, but five years ago when I husband went through basic training, all the women in his company were on their own floor in the same barracks building. It is nothing to fret about. Good luck to you!!

Yes it is Co-Ed. We live int he same building, just on different floors. I'm a 20 yr old female in the army, and when I went through basic 3 years ago, it was co-ed. Granted there were very strict rules about socializing with the males. Be very careful, the drill sergeants will go through your wall lockers and search for any type of evidence of relationships.

yes... they train side by side. Remember that the Infantry is a little different, so women do not go the the same basic training as someone who is going to be in the infantry. They have seperate housing and showers/bathrooms - but everything else is done together

No, they don't want the women showing up the men in basic.

Of course this is just a joke and is to be taken seriously.

Men and women in the same boot camp doesn't make for a healthy relationship.

yes, most basic training camps are co-ed. Males and females train in mix coed platoons. I think only Ft Benning, Ft Sill, and Ft Knox are the only ones left as strictly male basic training. Ft Jackson and Ft Leonard Wood are coed

When I went to BCT in 1991 it was seperate, but I've heard in the last few years they have changed and it is now Co-ed. Except the females will sleep in different barracks.

yes, Army BCT is co ed. only the Marines completely segregate. This doesn't necessarily mean your cadre will be co ed, just that it can be.
