It's leadership role in science and medicine?

If parents don't acknowledge to their children the fundamental tenets of science, where will our future scientists and doctors come from?

If future doctors and scientists come from places like India and the far east, are we willing to accept and integrate their cultural and religious beliefs into ours?

Where do you think we will be as a country in the area of science two generations from now?

Is the Bush administration attempting to revert back to the good old days of the “Cold War”, because the American public is not buying into this so-called “War on Terror”?

I can't imagine anyone who would want to retain his slimy services.

Maybe he'll take a long vacation in South America and start working for Hugo Chavez.

I was reading on a few past and present socialist/"semi-socialist" nations/goverments and started thinking about the US. Would this nation be better off if wealth was evenly distributed? Or is it best to let the individual make it on his/her own? Is the "American Dream" really accesable to everyone? With that said, 4% of the population controls the country's wealth, the middle class will soon be non-existant, and the poor will continue to be pushed aside and exploited.

Most Americans think so. Then why isn’t President Bush held to the same standard? Clearly, he is borderline illiterate.

"Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?"

"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."

"I'm honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein."

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

"Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir. I talk to families who die."
"You're working hard to put food on your family."

Too many ob/gyns aren't able to practice their love with women all across the country."

"Families is where our nation finds hope, where wings take dream."

"This is still a dangerous world. It's a world of madmen and uncertainty and potential mential losses."

"They misunderestimated ..."

My question was deleted because some women did not want to see ther truth for what it really was. A question was asked by a 16 year old girl and I will post the link here:

A girl under 18 asks about whether she needs her parents consent to get birth control and women showered her with advice about how to do so based on the state she lives in and not one of those answers from these women have anything to do with the fact that she is 18 years old! She's a minor and people go to jail for that. To prison! Statutory rape is a crime.

Why did these people encourage her? I'm no Puritan but there are these things we have called Laws.

For that matter why don't they actually use it? Is was a big topic in the last Democratic debate. Hillary said "What diplomacy? They send Condaleeza out to a few places and once in a while they send Dick Cheney and thats not what I call diplomacy."

Its funny that they don't even bring it up in the republican debate. Why?

1st Bush pisses off 1.3 Billion Muslims in the world w/ his occupation of Iraq & now he doing his best to piss off Russia who happen to have the 2nd largest nuclear weapons arsenal in the world (& 1/4 of the world's oil).

Bush should just stay in the US for the rest of his term, let his generals handle the war in Iraq & let Condi handle all foregin policy matters before he inadvertently starts WW3 because of his ignorance in world affairs.

I was served a summons about a month ago, and filed response. I received more paperwork in the mail that I just do not understand. I owe $3075 on my rent, but only have $2075. The property manager says not to bother paying a penny until I have the entire amount that I owe. Problem is, everytime I come up with more money, another payment is due! What do I do? Will I be going to court, and if so, when does that happen? I am so confused and I can't afford legal help and no one I know has any clue how to handle this. Im sooooooo scared and stressed. Please help!

I have spoken with many friends who are Democrats and I have also heard Democrat leaders speak in favor of our progress in Iraq. They also see the need to continue our efforts in order to stabilize that country not only for the sake of the Iraqis, but for our own safety. I realize that most Democrat leaders speak against the war. Why do so many Democrats on Yahoo make it sound like it is absolutely the Republicans against the Democrats when that simply is not the case? Are they using this as a means to further the divide between two political parties and create ill feelings and aggression between the people?

But people from foreign countries, can come here illegally,..get on the welfare rolls, and we welcome them with open arms..this is NOT fair to people who did at one time pay taxes. and I don't mind if MY taxes help poor families out here..but why does the government go after American families, for fraud on Welfare, and ignore the fact that the Illegals who have crawled up here, ...get all the benifits, and are criminals

I guess the war on terror ain't enough for Bush?

Or maybe since his war in Iraq has been such a disaster he needs something like a good old fashioned Cold War that the US military knows how to handle very well?
