Is the Bush administration attempting to revert back to the good old days of the “Cold War”, because the American public is not buying into this so-called “War on Terror”?

ah the good old days....
when the public didn't question the government...I think the administration has a very arrogant view about Russia, that they are a non entity. The only reason they would worry about Russia is because they are planning on going into Iran and know that Russia would be none to thrilled with that. Maybe they are practicing preemptive propaganda.....

It's not the administration that is doing this. Don't the other parties (Russia, N. Korea etc...) have anything to do with it? We can't approach this with a "head in the sand" mentality or it will get out of control real quickly. The only reason that Russia would oppose these DEFENSIVE tactics is if they have a horse in the race, and they shouldn't. Are the Russians planning on attacks any time soon? I don't think so. But who knows WHAT is in the mind of the Crazy Korean or others like him.

Condi is a Cold War baby and would have been great as Secretary of State under Reagan. They have been approaching the War on Terror with the exact same Fulda Gap type strategies as we did with the Cold War. They don't know anything but the Cold War.

Bush supports spending on "Star wars" as do most Republicans. The Money goes to contractors who support the Republicans with cash at elections. Same old stuff. BTW, Star wars has cost working class tax payers $400 billion since the Regan years and still does not work.

Bush is a mad man. We are in no position to start picking on Russia right now. We have our hands full in the Middle East with Iran and North Korea breathing on our necks, and now he wants to pick a fight with Putin. Pretty soon we will have no allies left! 2008 can't get here soon enough.

The Cold War let us build up our military. They're just dreaming of those military contracting $$$. Haliburton anyone?

I think Bush, with his 'great intellect', thinks that bringing back the Cold War will do something Global Warming and he hopes all of us will then shut up about it.

Are you kidding me?? Sounds to me like he's trying to avoid that type of situation. Think for yourself and don't believe all the propaganda you read.
