actually, the towers withstood the impact of the airplanes.
What happened is that the impact created such a wave of air pressure it litterally blew the insulation off of the support beams, this was a fire-proof insulation that is sprayed on when the building is made. As the jet fuel burned, it got hot enough to weaken these supporting beams to the point that the towers collapsed, this is why they stood after the impact but then eventually fell.

You need to read. The jets caused structural damage to the outside and their impacts destroyed most of the remaining 70's era fire proofing on the floor trusses. Combined with the intense heat and added weight the trusses warped and pulled the damaged outer supports to the breaking point. Hence the collapse.
One little bomb in the parking garage was not going to bring down the tower. It was never intended to, the '93 bombing was more of an attempted heist of the gold and currency storage units under the towers.

The main support for the towers was based on the drywall used around the elevator shafts in the middle of the towers. Once the jet fuel ignited, the intense heat melted the drywall and the integrity of the towers buckled. The towers were built to withstand an airplane impact, and they both did that. Drywall is fire retardant, but burning jet fuel gives off such immense heat that the drywall could not hold up.

You didn't think this thru did you?! There is a major difference between a car bomb and a jet plane full of jet fuel!! The car bomb did some damage but not the kind that would level a building that size, it was more like a statement that our President at that time didn't take seriously!

The bomb went through the underground parking garage of the tower and the bomb wasn't strong enough to knock down the towers like the terrorists wanted.
Two fully-loaded passengers planes crashed into each of the towers. That is why they fell.

Physics.
The first bomb was not powerful enough to undermine the fantastic steel/concrete foundations upon which the WTC was built.
The 9/11 airplanes created a hot enough fire to soften the strength of the steel support so that the weight of the floors above, and the unbalancing effect along with gravity did the rest.

The planes ripped apart crucial support structures when they impacted the buildings. The shredded material of the plane tore away fire protection materials on the remaining columns. The fire from the fuel of the plane was able to get hot enough, by burning with the materials in the building, to weaken the support structures of the other support columns. This happened far enough down from the top that once weakened, gravity pulled the remaining top portion down collapsing the entire structure.

Probably because this time, it wasn't a bomb underneath the building, it was a plane full of fuel that slammed into the side of the building and then exploded, causing the inside of the building to ignite, weaking the steel structure of the building, causing it to collapse under its own weight.
Or, Bush planted all kinds of explosives, somehow, throughout a building people were in 24/7, to cause a controlled implosion, without anyone noticing, because... Oh, wait. It's that darn "because" word that always trips up the conspiracy theorists... I keep forgetting that Bush had no reason to attack his own country. Darn it.
Must be choice "A," then.

I assume the bomb in 1993 was relatively small, and the planes in 2001 were big. And they were loaded with a lot of fuel, which burned for a long time.

The two aircraft were much larger bombs than the one 1993 explosive in the parking garage. Also, the aircraft detonated in a more vulnurable area of the buildings.
It is amazing that the towers stood as long as they did after two very large fuel-air bombs were crashed into them.
