What improbable things? It was a horrendous day and should be respected as such.

Words matter, and this is a perfect example of why.
Defining 9/11 as a day of horrendous errors misses the point entirely. Were errors made? Probably. Did they have horrendous outcomes, most likely. But the day does not revolve around the errors, it revolves around the attack.
Our nation was attacked that day, and it was a day of horrendous attacks. That errors may have happened is not the cause of anything, and to characterize it that way is utterly and completely improper.
The "improbable" things? I'm not sure why this is even worth discussing. This is like something right out of a Soviet-style propaganda campaign. There was nothing improbable about it. People put great effort into blowing up buildings and killing innocent people, and they succeeded. There's nothing improbable about it. When you stab someone through the heart, it isn't improbable when they die. It is the result of your heinous crime. It is a direct result of conscious evil acts. Why are you afraid to use words like evil? It was EVIL things that happened that day. Not improbable.
It's worth looking into the events of the day more carefully to ensure that errors are not made in the future, but that cannot and does not justify the acts of the evil people who caused this mass murder. Their leaders and co-conspirators need to be brought to justice for their crimes.
One can legitimately debate the way we respond to evil. But we cannot try to brush it aside by soft-sounding words.

If getting up every morning and going about your business is an error, then your answer is yes. Anyone can place all the blame for 9/11 on anything or anyone they wish, but what it comes down to is that this country was a victim of a well planned attack. You can analyze any event with the clarity of hindsight and see that "errors" were made. 9/11 was not a day of horrendous errors, it was a day of an horrendous attack upon innocent people.

Probable things did happen that day.
Those in denial want to say such nonsense.
Where mistakes made yes but it is a long list and where do you begin?
They weren't horrendous just little ones that built on each other.

It was not a day of horrendous errors, but a cold, calculated plan of terror and destruction

I don't think so. Please don't accuse me of delving in the realm of 'conspiracy theories', but I am convinced they knew it was gonna happen and consciously failed to act.
There was even a huge memo given to Bush by Clinton called 'Bin Laden determined to strike in US' which he completely ignored.
I seriously cannot believe 19 amateur arab hijackers were able to infiltrate the most expensive, powerful and sophisticated air security system on the planet on their own.
Oh, and guess who was in control of US air security that day? For the first time in history, the Vice President took charge. Mr Cheney. Hmm....

No, calling it a day where some islamic extremists took advantage of our apathy towards domestic terrorsim and infiltrated lax airport security, would be more accurate. Why is a group of people hating America enough to do it such a foreign concept to you? Grow up.
