as an Englishman it has always amazed me how Americans are scared of salad
ive travelled far and wide in America and have never actually seen a salad. In fact the only time i have seen a salad in America was in an episode of Dukes of Hazzard I believe the American people are missing out on one of lifes little pleasures and they are really nothing to be frightened of.

Fred Thompson was almost a Senator for 8 years. He withdrew, even though he was a shoo-in for re-election in 2002, because he did not want to become a career politician.

Barak Obama has been a Senator for TWO YEARS! I think our city councilman has more experience.

But yet, whenever you bring Fred up, the Liberals say "But I thought Republicans didn't WANT Hollywood actors to be in politics"

Well, we don't want INEXPERIENCED Hollywood actors in Politics. Fred is a two term senator, I think he has a LITTLE more knowledge of politics than Rosie O Donnell or Sheryl Crowe, don't you think?

OK, now here it goes. Democrats, what about Fred Thompson makes you not want to vote for him? I can give good reasons why not to vote for every Democrat running, so give me a GOOD reason why Fred Dalton Thompson is not our man in '08.

'Small government' has a nice ring to it. After all, Americans as a bunch don't particularly care for being 'goverened'. Maybe the anti-federlists had it right. But practically speaking, would the US be, or remain, a first world country without a strong central government?

I was under the impression that once you become a U.S. citizen, you automatically lose your original citizenship because the U.S. did not recognize dual citizenship. Have they changed the rules, and if so, when did it take effect?

"The UN says so" is not proof.

Anyone else saying so is not proof.

Accusing me of hating the planet or being a Christian fundamentalist is not proof.

Accusing me of being paid by Exxon is not proof.

Accusing me of working for the Bush Administration is not proof.

Pointing out that the Iraq war is going badly is not proof.

Accusing me of having similarities to the tobacco lobby is not proof.

None of those things are even relevant.

Repeating that it's us over and over again is not proof that it is.

Accusing me of putting my head in the sand is not proof.

Proving that it is warmer than it was 100 years ago is not proof that we are the cause of it.

Denying that it was warmer 1000 years ago than it is today not only is not proof but is another reason for me to not give you the benefit of the doubt even though you don't have proof.

You're trying to limit others' activity. I'm not. In a free society that makes it your burden of proof.

Put up or shut up.

Do you feel for the Palestinian cause?
You may be Plalestinian,Lebanese,Iraqi,Saudi etc and thousands of Plaestinians may have entered your country as refugees after the illegal occupations of Arab land in 1948 & 1967.
As a proud Arab it pains me to see fello Arabs in this plight and we should do me to help our brothers.

Before all the Jews & Israelis and Zionists answer, Palestine had existed thousands of years before 1948...what or who (no doubt you will say God) gives you the right to illegally occupy Arab land.
Lest we forget th Holocaust....now it is happening within your own border, a genocide agains Palestinians a cruelty which is ignored by the outside world and most importantly in your case America.

The bible states that you "Reap what you sow" yet you the Israeli government are the terrorists in this issue.
I am not anti-semetic before anyone statse but Israel must learn to look at herself and be ashamed of the atrocities and war crimes it has caused in Palestine /

In our days of Rodney King the days of Andy Giffith seem only but a distant memory. Police now-a-days lack any sense of human decency. I fear the police more than I fear the common criminals. I just received a ticket for parking in front of my house. Now I would haved expected that any police officer with any sence of decency would have walked up 20 feet to my house and politely would have asked me to move my car expecially in the absence of no parking signs or red curb markings. However the police already left two tickets for the same infraction when I did not even know this was against the law. Even horses now-a-days do not get trained with slaps in the face for doing some thing wrong. However as a citizen, the only time I know I've done something wrong is when I get slapped in the face. I would like to legally fight back and picket in front of the police station with a sign that reads "Salinas PD Sucks. Ask me why.". I also want to pass out t-shirts with these words. Is this legal?

"Republicans are getting an earful on immigration. "I have learned some new words from some of my constituents," Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Arizona, said.

The angry response comes as a shock. "The level of intensity and volume is, I think, surprising,'' CNN contributor and radio talk show host Bill Bennett said. "We've talked to a number of Republican senators, and they confessed to being surprised by the reaction."

Can you believe that our senators would be so out-of-touch to not realize what a massive issue this is? Have they completely lost touch with what is happening in this country. Do they understand that 50 million more illegal immigrants are coming soon? Do they care about us at all anymore?

Are there just too many uninformed Americans with the ability to vote to bring about any real change here in America ? Are we all locked up in a two party mindset ? What type of individual/movement could lead us from our current political stagnancy ? Remember, most of us have "had it".
