"Republicans are getting an earful on immigration. "I have learned some new words from some of my constituents," Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Arizona, said.

The angry response comes as a shock. "The level of intensity and volume is, I think, surprising,'' CNN contributor and radio talk show host Bill Bennett said. "We've talked to a number of Republican senators, and they confessed to being surprised by the reaction."

Can you believe that our senators would be so out-of-touch to not realize what a massive issue this is? Have they completely lost touch with what is happening in this country. Do they understand that 50 million more illegal immigrants are coming soon? Do they care about us at all anymore?

I tend to express a socially liberal viewpoint. However on this issue I am so against this bill I am angry. I was hit by an uninsured illegal driver and am out thousands of dollars. I want every single one of them removed from this country. Maybe then we will see rising wages.

I would think that anyone who votes for this bill will find a tough road at election time. We legals can vote.

As to the questions in your last paragraph: Yes; Yes; No; No.

Me, I even emailed Arnold but he's an immigrant and thinks we need all these people here because bi-golly no one else will do their jobs....Oh and the white house also! With little luck.. I think the American people that oppose amnesty should march like the Mexicans do .. But how do you convince them to drop what they are doing and march? I remember a time when I was a kid and we did those types of jobs for extra pocket money! We now live in a predominantly illegal Mexican town and they don't trust us white folk for nothing...My kids lives don't even come close to the way I was raised and the opportunities I had...Sad sad day in America when there isn't any balance..

That whole thing is really silly if you think about it, the bill is a democrat bill, the only way it will pass is if the democrats vote party line, the repubs cannot turn it one way or the other.

If you don't like the bill you had better spend time on the loony lefties in congress, and you had better do it hard and fast because the Dems are going to sell us out. These people are supposed to represent us. If they do not pass a bill you do not have to worry about what bush will do, he is a non-player in it until the democrats in the senate pass it.

As of today, 37 repub senators are going to vote nay or not vote, so they know they can do nothing, it is all up to the democrats.

Email your democrat senator, inundate them in complaints, my dem senator/staff reply to my emails calling me by my first name, they joke about some new piece of hidden information on this travesty I have found.

It is up to you, if you sit there and do nothing to stop the democrats you can blame no one but yourself.

do something, do it NOW.

I am convinced that immigration is the reason Republicans lost control of Congress. Iraq may have played a small role, but I believe Republican voters stayed away as an act of dissatisfaction with their lawmakers over this immigration issue. Most people I know want the borders closed and something done to make it more difficult and unattractive to enter the US illegally. Why it is taking Republican lawmakers so damn long to understand the anger from the base is beyond me.

Lets also not forget to criticize the dems. Ted Kennedy authored it. Dems are also mad. Nancy Pelosi said that she would not even consider it unless she had 70% Republican approval in the house. What the hell is she trying to pull here? She wants it, dems have a majority, vote it and own it.

Yes our senators and congress man are really out of touch with the American Voters. teh seanotrs live apart form everyone else in their own private communities and their children all go to private schools and they do not have to live with the mess that they create. Also they are beholding to their real supporters which are the corporations that contribute huge amounts of money to their campaigns.

They really do not care about us.

Ya see, here is where CNN is showing bias. Did they not talk to any democrat Senators? Because I can assure you, the people in congress, and the white house that people of all parties are mad as hell over this issue. Keep up the onslaught.

They need to be voted out of office, not paid a salary and health insurance. Then they will be in touch with the citizens of the United States. These people, especially the Republican Party is making democracy look like some kind of childish joke.

Republicans, do the country a favor, do not vote for your incumbent Republican representative.

Silly conservatives, they actually believe the republicans stand for something other than big business (who are the only ones getting a good deal out of this immigration plan!!)
