Fort Drum, NY or Fort Dix, NJ would be close, or West Point (USMA), NY would be 2nd.

I'm from the city. Ft Hamilton is over in Brooklyn, mainly Army Reserve. Ft Wadsworth in Staten Island is the main Coast Guard Field Command in the U.S. Ft Dix/Mc Guire are 50 miles south of the city (Army/Air Force/NG)....but mainly Army and Coast Guard in NYC.

You have Fort Drum but theres also Fort Totten in Queens, New York.

Ft Drum is all the way up in Central NY. near Watertown

Griffis is closed

Hancock ANG base is in Syracuse. ( Yay The 174th TFW!!!)

West Point is down on the Hudson.

probably Dix in Jersey is closest mileage wise.
