My husband twisted his back on the job and had to have a spinal fusion surgery. He felt better for a few weeks after, now he's in more pain than before. He can't even pick up our son. We are in a huge financial strain and are barely making ends meet. I don't know if his pain will ever go away. He's been hurt since last october.

My question is, should we sue? I don't want to be a money hungry person but my husband and I are in a real bind financially and he's in pain all day and night.

I always thought the people who sued were money hungry low lifes.... I don't want to be thought of as one of em.

Hi. As I stated in the question, I'm 17 and have become fascinated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I know that you can only apply for the Agent position when you're 23, but getting through the selection process is apparently pretty tough. In terms of college, references, work experience, and all that stuff, what do you guys think I should aim to do right now? I have just applied to college and I think a major in accounting would be a pretty good head start towards my goal. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Perhaps the fixed price achieved by the USA in Iraq passes all the precedents, - in all the cases it innovates diabolicy, even if one finds the germs of the method in “walk of Georgia” of the Sherman general, in 1864-65, or in the destruction of the Indian nation by the USA with the length of the XIXème century. It is necessary to recognize the speed, the effectiveness, the systematic aspect of the thing, and especially the extraordinary capacity of the machinery americanist to make the fixed price in most complete and perfect innocence, and even while complaining about the bad fate which is made with the good intentions americanists. The process of “irresponsabilisation” of the system, with exaggerated charges against the terrorists, the Syrians, the Iranians, Sunnites, the Shiites, Improvised Explosive Devices, the French from time to time, the good weather and the bad weather,

Today Ms. Sheenhad declared Monday she was walking away from her peace movement.

I have not paid as much attention to her cause other then her son dying in the war and her wanting the US to end the war.

I did read in Ms. Sheenhans online letter that her son "did indeed die for nothing." and her son Casey died for a country which cares more about who will be the next American Idol than how many people will be killed in the next few months while Democrats and Republicans play politics with human lives (her words not mine)

My question is what and/or how did Ms. Sheenhan feel before her son went into the military? Did she not want him to go.? Did she at all try and talk him out of going.? How did she feel about the government while her son was there in the military, before he went over seas? How did she feel about the government before her son was killed.?

I agree that Reagan's policy of arms escalation was crucial to bringing about the demise of the Soviet Union. However, Reagan always promised that the short-term cost of a military build-up would yield substantially more long-term savings as a "peace dividend." Whatever happened to it? I agree that we have enemies now, but confronting them shouldn't be as costly as confronting an enormous foe such as the Soviet Union.

The radicals are desructive. I can't believe that mothers want ther sons to destroy other people, I can't believe that fathers want their sons to die. It's difficult for me to understand people not wantng the freedoms that we enjoy in the States. Please help me understand. The "cradle of civilization" seems very uncivilized right now. OK, We are the invaders, why is there no help to get out.

May 24, 2007 -- EVERY year since he left the White House, former President Bill Clinton has been paid by InfoUSA - an Omaha, Neb., company now identified as a key provider of databases that enable criminals to defraud the unsuspecting elderly.

Senate rules don't require Hillary Clinton to reveal exactly how much - or for what - the company has paid her husband over the past five years. But former presidents - especially Bill Clinton - don't come cheap. And, just months after he left the presidency, InfoUSA paid Bill Clinton $200,000 to give a speech in Omaha. Since then, it has paid him an undisclosed amount each year - listed only as "more than $1,000" for "non-employee compensation" on Sen. Clinton's financial-disclosure forms. (Her latest Senate disclosure isn't yet public, so we don't yet know if the firm paid him anything last year.)

I have a malicious vandalism charge against me. I thought it was going to civil court, but it's going to be going to criminal court.
I did not commit the crime that I am being charged with, honestly. My ex-boyfriend told the owner of the car that I did it, but there is no evidence that I committed the crime other then him telling the person I did it. My lawyer said that this is not a case that should have even gone to court, but nonetheless it will.
Originally my ex-boyfriend was going to be testifying against me saying that I admitted to him to doing it, but I have him on tape admitting that that was not true. I told him that I would bring the tape to court and show the judge that he was perjuring, so he has since recinded his testimony.
There is literally no evidence to suggest I vandalised the car, but I am still scared. I don't have the money to pay for a crime I didn't commit, but if I don't settle out of court then I may go to jail. I am scared.

I have a friend who carries a gerber pocket knife (even though I tell him not to) because there is a guy who is subtly threatening him.

If he is out somewhere and the guy attacks him and he uses that knife on the man attacking him, will courts consider that self defense?

DBZnut is right in his statement that at LEAST 15,000 muslims are fighting in the US Army, for this person's very right to state that they don't matter. What is wrong with the people who think like this? Do they think life is deserved or not based on religion? I honestly still can not understand how people can be so cold. He should be happy they are not on the other side. I am a muslim woman, and I do have several members of my family who have served in the US Army. My grandfather was buried with the whole honor thing (please forgive me, I don't know the correct term). My grandmother was handed his flag. He had two Purple Hearts, among several other medals that are in my uncle's possession, because he is the eldest. Can you please share your thoughts on how ignorance is too common, and suggest ways of how we can teach our children to determine character of a person, and go by that instead of religion/skin?

How strong is the Japanese "Ji-ei-tai", the self defense force??? Its has been said by various professors studying world peace, that Japan holds the fifth strongest defense force in the world.
I also heard that though the US lowers the quality of most weapons they export to other countries, (So in case they got in a war, they could have superior arms.) Japan is the only nation that is a exception from this.
(BTW, for ur info, Japan has a bigger force than England or France)
