What better way to install socialism than to kill our economy? Unless and until China and India are held to the same standards, any more environmental regulations should be curtailed.

Even if they were not exempt, do we really think they will honor environmental laws when they don't uphold labor laws?

It seems Kyoto Protocol is outdated. CO2 emissions have increased considerably. Steps should be taken to replace Kyoto Protocol with something more suitable for the future. Regarding India's take, India must watch the reactions of other countries and then react. That's what I think.

She only strongly disagrees because there is a Republican President. She knows that the Kyoto treaty cannot be signed; even Bill Clinton did not jump on board.

Even a political hack like Pelosi realizes that Kyoto is not an environmental treaty but an economic treaty. One of the authors of the accord was quoted in the Guardian as saying that the bill was as much about leveling the playing field as it was about the environment.

Pelosi knows this she is just pandering to the naive eco-nuts that are so important to her party.

The Dems say one thing and do another.

I was thinking just today that this could be another way of attempting to weaken the US, and no sane US leader, least of all a Republican, is going to let that happen.

I wish the chicken littles would come up with some real scientific proof or shut the hell up.

No one can risk destroying the economy for what might happen. And if changes are made, they have to be done gradually over time.

And I recently saw an erroneous documentary about the Maldive Islands that insinuated that tsunamis are caused by global warming. Aren't tsunamis caused by earthquakes on the ocean floor? The CBC and BBC = crap.

This is just the kind of junk science that they are trying to shove down our throats.

She can talk all she wants to, but she really has no say in what treaties we enter into. The President may make treaties if 2/3 of the Senate concur.

Simply it not a matter of doctrine or ideology it is simply a matter that the USA will suffer more and more economicaly if the total amounts of green house gases are not reduced. The USA cant control china and indian but it can control the USA which is the major producer of green house gases

Pelosi is a member in good standing in the New World Order! Destruction of this country is their “job one”! She takes orders from them and they want their carbon tax to fund UN intervention in all countries not following their orders. This carbon tax will cool the sun exactly how?
Co2 is not a pollutant folks, we all breathe it out and plants breathe it in. Next they will try to tax breathing! Oh, that’s right they just want to kill off 80% of us useless eaters, probably won’t bother to tax us as other plans are in place for all of us!

Pelosi is the Speaker of the House. She was elected to that post by her colleagues, when the Democrats were elected to the majority by the American people.

Simple. Like others on the far left, she feels guilty about being an American. The collapse of our economy would go a long way towards assuaging her guilt.
