My friends in law enforcement tell me that the last meal is often used as a surreptitios way to include a tranquilizing chemical so that the condemned will be tranquilized, easier to deal with and less likely to become agitated and difficult to handle at the time of execution. Accordiing to my friends, prisons are often very accomodating so that it is easier to include the tranquilizing chemical in the condemned inmates food.

The death penalty is not wrong. What's wrong is caring about the lives and feelings of the kind of shitscumbag who would murder someone. Somehow people have forgotten that we must FIGHT evil, not try to coddle it.

I don't know if they really get "anything" they want for their last meal, but I think they get a reasonable selection. I honestly can't figure out why in the hell we should even care what they eat, or even that they get to eat. What is the point of feeding some guy who's about to be dead? What's the point of being nice to him just that one way before you execute him? Seems like a silly, stupid tradition that for some reason we haven't looked at closely enough to see that we really should just get rid of it.

Oh, if it were me, I'd ask to be allowed to eat pu55y one last time. Oh yeah!

Whilst we remain part of the EU the UK can NEVER bring back the death penalty so it is a very pointless debate something any self respecting Daily Telegraph reader should know. As for how prisoners are treated and how they should be treated you are so far off the mark you can understand why people assume you are a daily mail reader.

Lol I love the wine bit...I agree that the death penalty is wrong also. Don't see why anyone should be able to murder someone when the reason they are on death row is probably for the same thing. As far as their last meal...No idea...I've never been on death row. Hopefully I won't ever be falsely accused of a crime I didn't commit and be sentenced to it.

In PA a guy wanted 17 large pizza's for his last meal and he got it. It really was just a ploy because his intentions were to have the food donated to homeless people or something but after hearing that I assume you can get any food, I think alcohol is not included in this.

not anything but whatever is within reason. there is no alcohol or exotic meals.call the walls unit in downtown huntsville, texas.the executions are carried out at the walls.over a 25 year as a deputy i carried several people to be executed.this person who says her friends told her they put stuff in the food needs to turn her tv off a while cause there is no such thing.

Some prisons won't prepare anything they wouldn't normally make (for example a prisoner could choose between mac n cheese or a burger if that's what the prison's cafeteria had). Some are more flexible. I know of one case where a prisoner asked for steak and lobster, and was refused. But then there was a case of a prisoner asking for one jar of dill pickles, and they let him have one.

Did you know that before his execution, Phillip Workman, who had been homeless before his arrest, waived his last meal and asked that a large pizza be donated to a homeless person. The state (Tennessee) turned him down.

I think the death penalty should be an eye for an eye type of deal, if you have the gaul to rape a girl/kill her, then i think you should endure a much more lethal way of execution then a simple way out.

Why would they get anything, did the person they kill get any favors before they died? I dont think so moron

They cannot get anything. It has to be within reason. Either something made at prison, or something from restaurant.
