sometimes i am driving and i see a Ohio State Highway Patrolman, and even though I was on the force, you still get 1 point when your a trooper. I drive 70-75 when it is 65. How can I slow my Viper down to 65 and not have the radar get me. Hide behind a semi. And how can I out my seatbelt on without having the police noticing. thanks

I had expired tabs, but my family needed food and diapers. I had to go to the store. I took the family with me. I was pulled over. The officer was irrate that I had gone 2 months without renewing. I explained to him that I couldn't pass emmissions, and I didn't have enough money to repair. He said I was making excuses, that I was lying, and "whining like a baby." He told me to "be a man" and admit that I was trying to get away without paying for new tabs. I re-emphasized that I couldn't pay the repair fees, and in the middle of my explanation he told me to "shut up" and "get out of the car," right in front of my wife and children. He then said since I refuse to "be a man" and admit that I don't want to pay for tabs, driving with expired tabs is a "felony offense." He cuffed me and put me in his car. I tried to reason, he merely said "shut up."Under duress I finally said what he wanted me to. He wrote me up & let me go. I was humiliated. Is this legal, the way he treated me?

I am so sick and tired of the justification illegals give for being ILLEGAL:
1. the US immigration system is unfair
That maybe, but it is not for you to decide. Your can either follow the immigration law of this country, or immigrate to another one. Violate the law is criminal offense.

2. we come from a harsh family background
So are billions of others. Everyone is born with his/her fair share of the burden. IT doesn't justify you from breaking laws.

3. we are doing works no one else is willing to do
Yeah, except you are not allowed to work. You shouldn't be working. And that work that no one else willing to do? Have you met the legal immigrants who are working hard to find a job?

4. you can't deport all 13 million of us, so ...
Well, we can start by deporting you

These babies are viable and there are many who would give them a good home. I know many who would welcome even those babies suffering extreme forms of birth defects into their lives.

I can't think of even one valid reason for allowing partial birth abortions. Even if the mother's life is in danger, the baby is normally viable and doesn't need to be killed! Surely, C-Sections or, induced labor could be used in order to spare the child's its life.

Agreed? Aren't they just wrong?

I realize this is a question that comes up way too often on Yahoo answers, but I still felt the need to read different opinions regarding a particular situation that's currently going on with me. I guess most importantly is the fact that I am legal, and this officer was off duty. I met him at the police station about a week ago, we've gone out twice. The very first time going out, after basic conversation, he asks about my virginity. He appears fascinated with the fact that I am one. Minutes go by, and I start to feel uncomfortable with the constant, very awkward questioning, I realize he's expressing what he wants to do with me, some statements becoming more and more graphic. I felt extremely uneasy and nervous, and also disappointed, all this coming from a very experienced police officer. I think you readers get a feel of the situation and what I'm trying to explain. Should I just take this as a grain of salt? (Continued below)...

Has anyone heard of such thing? Supposedly no lawyers are involved and they guarantee their work, if they take your case. We've been down this avenue with lawyers and spent tons, would it be worth it.

President George W. Bush has sparked much alarm by openly declaring himself to be a dictator in the event of a national emergency under new provisions that will effectively nullify the U.S. constitution.

New legislation signed on May 9, 2007, declares that in the event of a "catastrophic event", the President can take total control over the government and the country, bypassing all other levels of government at the state, federal, local, territorial and tribal levels, and thus ensuring total unprecedented dictatorial power.

The National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive, which also places the Secretary of Homeland Security in charge of domestic "security", was signed earlier this month without the approval or oversight of Congress - of course- and seemingly supercedes the National Emergency Act which allows the president to declare a national emergency, martial law and put US citizens in FEMA concentration camps or secretly execute them.

Most Conservatives will disagree with this, but out of personal curiosity, I had to ask.

Has anyone noticed the gas prices lately? Did anyone notice when they started to sky-rocket. I don't mean $.0.07 cent a week, though that is bad. I'm talking about at least five cents a day?

Did anyone notice that this came around about the same time as Bush signed that War Funding Bill???

Just curious, and wanting to hear opinions...

I am a 24 year old college drop-out with nothing but bad habits. After leaving the school two years ago I have done nothing positive for myself or others. I consider myself to be an intelligent person with a bright future, but I can't seem to motivate myself to finish school and "grow up". I have never been one to waste time but I feel like each day I am wasting away mentally and physically. I'm thinking about joining the Marines to give myself a sense of pride and accomplishment along with the hope that it "straightens my *** out." Is this a stupid idea or am I doomed for a life of ****??
