Republican

1) I do believe that abortion is murder, and i think that a fetus (who will grow into a person) has as much a choice as the mother to live.

2) As the first commenter, I believe that I should work hard and be independent. I think there should be some programs for me if I do fail, but I think I should still be made to work hard.

3) I do not support gay rights. Because the majority of Americans are heterosexual I do not think rights should be taken from them and given to the homosexuals. Also, because I think if a woman and a woman or a man and a man were meant to be together, then they would be able to produce a child together. But that is not the way it works. It is nature, and according to Democrats, we should not interfere with nature.

4) I do not believe that illegal aliens should automatically be given citizenship. (see #2) If you truly want to be an American and you truly want the rights that America gives you, then you would also want to respect American laws.

5) I do not like how the majority of the Democratic party can not seem to disagree with another individual's views without calling them an idiot. I also do not like how the Media has turned into a propaganda machine, more concerned with how Lindsey Lohan and her recent DUI then with the War in Iraq, leading into...

6) I do support the War in Iraq. Coming from a military family, I have heard from many soldiers about what we are doing in Iraq (first hand) and I like everything I'm hearing. I despise how the media doesn't cover hardly any good things being done in the war.

These are only my views and the facts as I see them, so please no one be offended. If you disagree, then that is your right, as our great country has allowed for all its people.

I probably most identify with the Libertarian platform, but I vote Democrat because I believe strongly in the social end of the libertarian spectrum and I think the Dems much more closely represent that than do the Republicans.

I strongly disagree with the fascist overtones that the Republican party has taken on under the guise of "protecting" us.

And I can't stand the religious right, or as I call them, the Adult Santa Worshippers. They're just mind-controlled cultists incapable of independent thought.

I am a Republican. I believe that most of your younger responders are Democrats or share their beliefs. They have been fed a load of crap in our wonderful school systems for the past 40 years. In other words, they have been given a liberal point of view, not only by their teachers, but by the news organizations they view on TV. The older you are, the more likely it is that you'll figure out that the Democrats say a lot of nice things, and appear to be for the working man, but don't be fooled they do very little for you and me and are only looking for votes. The Republicans, I know, are hard working, family people that feel what they earn should not be given to those who don't deserve it. This does not mean that we aren't charitable, quite the contrary. Check the facts for yourself. I don't always agree with what my party stands for, but I know a Duck when I hear it quacking.

I chose the Republican party because my views lean more towards Libertarian and there is no primary for that party where I live. When it comes time to vote, I vote for the candidate, not the party, but since most of the Democrats run unopposed in this area, registering Republican gives me a bit more of a voice in local politics.

I have strong leanings toward the Republicans. I fancied myself as pretty liberal when i was young and got turned once i started to try and be a contributor to society instead of a burden. To much of the Dem's philosophy is socialism rather than democracy. I believe in taking responsibility for your own actions. If you want something in the world be prepared to work for it. It is not the governments job to ensure that i have a roof over my head or food on the table, its mine. Very much a fan of the death penalty. I really could care a less who is sleeping with who or is marrying who. But i do believe that we are wasting allot of money and time trying to get gay marriage legal for some rights that can be solved with a couple of forms from of lawyer or notary. Not so much concerned with abortion. I could go on for hours but that's enough for now.

I was a democrat in my early years, without having any idea why. As I grew up and lived in numerous foreign countries and saw what socialism and communism had done to the local people, and learned what made America the great nation that she was, I learned that liberalism is a destructive political philosophy that always destroys democracies, usually in 200-300 years. That's when I knew that being a Republican was the best way to preserve our democracy. Once people learn that they can get other people to support them with government money, they slowly bleed the treasury until their country becomes second rate. Limited government, letting the people keep the fruit of their labor in order to improve their standard of living, and requiring everybody to produce are the enabling features of a democracy. We are created equal, but we don't stay that way. That's human nature. Redistribution of wealth is never the answer.

I chose God's party, the Republican Party, because everybody knows the Democrats ain't a thing in this world but a bunch of tree-hugging sodomite socialist liberal atheist pro-abortion anti-American commies. Hitler's Germany had the right idea: send all liberals to concentration camps and work 'em to death, or use them instead of monkeys for medical experiments.

Neither.

Short answer is Independant. Long answer is "soft" Libertarian (liberal leanings) with a bit of Constitution and Green party thrown in for good measure.

The big two over the past couple of decades hasn't really been something to write home about.

I'm a Republican, because I believe that life is precious at the very moment of conception. God's word even says that. I believe being gay is a choice, so therefore I'm a strong believer in the sanctity of marriage between one man, and one woman. I believe that welfare is there for a hand up until one gets on their feet, unlike most Liberal Dems whom think welfare is okay as a way of life. I believe if you work hard here in America there's nothing you can't accomplish.

I really didn't care about politics until I served in the marines, I am a registered republican. I don't think the democrats have any new ideas and to make up for it all they do is slam bush. Even though Bush it not even up for reelection.
