sometimes i am driving and i see a Ohio State Highway Patrolman, and even though I was on the force, you still get 1 point when your a trooper. I drive 70-75 when it is 65. How can I slow my Viper down to 65 and not have the radar get me. Hide behind a semi. And how can I out my seatbelt on without having the police noticing. thanks

Either drive slower to begin with or be willing to accept the fine as a cost of doing business and driving a conspicuous vehicle.

Same with the seatbelts, the Federal Government is give state and local forces millions of dollars in "grants" to pay overtime to enforce seatbelts. So think about it, if you are a cop and can work extra and get time and a half, and you state or county can get the fine money, wouldn't you be very motivated to catch guys like you? They are using very high tech night vision equipment around here, it is so funny watching the people putting on their belts at night and having it show up clear as day. VERY COOL!

I doubt very seriously this person ever was a State Highway Patrolman in any state. I also think this person is trying to get information from some here that already have told them to pull the seatbelt over their shoulder and hold it down on the right.

Also, a Viper!! Really...no State Highway Patrol personnel could afford a Viper!!

lol

just take ur foot of the gas and gradually go down...
if u hit ur break they will see ur car like jerk, too obvious, let ur foot off the gas...thats really the only thing u can do other than
get a radar detector, or just not speed at all...lol
the seat belt thing...kinda hard! but what i use to do was take my right hand slowly reach for my seatbelt kinda keeping my hand hidden..lol..and buckle it in..lol do it slowly less movement is better..lol

i wear mine at all times now but I use to not..lol
and u say u were an officer at one point in time! Then u would already know the answer to that! u werent ever a cop! Also a cop wouldnt ask such an ignorant question to begin with!

have a good day

If you truly were with the state highway patrol, and you really are Sgt. Finley James, you should be ashamed of yourself. The highway speed liimits are set for a reason. If you are no longer a member of the force, or even if you are but aren't responding to an emergency call with siren and lights on, you have no reason to exceed the speed limit. Have you ever heard of setting a good example?
As to the seat belt question - that's just pure stupidity. If you had ever attended an accident scene and seen what happened to someone who wasn't wearing a seat belt, you wouldn't even think about driving without yours on.

Sgt.? ;-) Sure you are. You 'were' on the Force? Sure you were. You drive a Viper? Sure you do. Regardless, I'll give you an honest answer. The most important thing is NOT to brake. As soon as the police see your brake lights they know you were speeding and that *you* know it too. Just take your foot off the gas to slow down and hope for the best.

The fact that you asked either of these questions, particularly to Yahoos like us, makes me doubt you were ever 'on the force'. That said, letting you foot of the gas and/or turning of the cruse control and letting the car 'coast' is the only method I know to reduce speed without attracting attention. If you hit the brakes after seeing the trooper, you have effectively confessed to speeding even before they noticed you. Forget the seat-belt, if they notice you at all, doing anything to your seat-belt has the same effect as your brake lights.

So let me get this right......you are a police officer and still don't wear your seatbelt? Haven't you seen enough fatalities where people die or kill others simply because they were not wearing their seatbelts? that is just plain stupid.......but the brake thing, gently pull back on your ebrake, works everytime. At least you admit it, they see brake lights you are getting pulled over. And anyways if you are a member of Ohio's finest can't you just pull rank on them and get out of it?

each and every person does a mistake. the important element is you probably did decelerate. in the event that they have been once you they might have rotated and observed you so think ofyou've have been given no longer something to agonize approximately. in the event that they do capture as much as you and ask approximately it only tell them the certainty.
