Is the media bias in coverage of crimes commited by white people against black victims compared to black against white?
I recently read an article about the recent murder of a white couple by 5 black assailants. This crime was extremely brutal but received no media coverage. Compare a similar "hate crime" such as the murder of James Byrd.
Is this proof that the media is bias and only willing to cover issues that promote their agenda? James Byrd's murder was used to promote hate crime legislation even though two of the men were sentenced to death and the third to life, all without the hate crime legislation.

God's Coffee
A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversaation soon turned to complaints about stress in work and life.
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups.
Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."

With the senate shooting down a bill to stop funding by March 2008 I cannot help but see the Democrats win this previous fall as a dud. Whats the purpose of having a congress that wants change and is in tune with what the American people want when nothing is going to get done. I see everyday on the news and internet and on the radio that so many people have died from bombings, suicides, attacks, ect. I think to myself-after all of our sacrifices and years of being over there, are we that much better off than when we started? How much longer will the wishes of American people and demands be ignored for a interests of a select few?

I am just wondering if anyone has the statistics for what percent of women who get an abortion do so out of fear for their own health. Since it seems to be the major reason people support procedures like partial-birth abortion, I would think there should be a large amount of women who have the procedure out of health concerns to justify their support.

Since the word of God is interpreted and changed from generation to generation to suit the needs of the times how can we vote for anyone who holds to delusional beliefs .
People just 80 years ago felt it was wrong to operate on a mans heart as this was thought to be the vessel for his soul . With religion just being a populist set of beliefs that changes from decade to decade how can we be sure we know what a candidate will do when elected .
Will they do what is in their own interests just like the rest of us or will they do what is best for all of us .
Religion has always been in favor of one man controlling another and thus freedom of thought and choice are not a component of your life .
You are born to serve God and your leaders without question .
Is this any way to elect our leaders .
Choosing among the very people who belief you get your reward in the next life . That your suffering and time on earth is just part of Gods plan and you should suck it up and deal with it .
