With the Republican's loss of control of the House and the Senate, and President Bush's approval rating down to a 28%, the lowest rating of any president since Jimmy Carter, do you think we will have a Democratic President in 2008?

Bill Clinton's approval rating never sunk below 40%, even when he was getting impeached!

So I am driving down the i-90 trying to get home from college and to my left is a patrol car I slow down...but haha...too late :( ...the red and blue lights go on and I am like about to **** my pants. He asks me why I think i am getting pulled over and I said I think I was going to fast...and I got really nervous...and he goes like...maam..how fast do you think you were going...i'm like eeeh...like 75-80. He goes like you were doing 83 on a 65 zone. He gives me this slip that I need to send in 15 days saying weather I am guilty or not...The place where I got pulled over is approx. 7 hours from home. Is this even worth pleading not guilty? I am thinking of pleading not guilty just to apologize for going so fast but also thank him for pulling me over because maybe if he hadn't I would raced down at the the wrong time and crashed. I really learned my lesson. This was also my first time getting pulled over...ever. Or should I just avoid the hassle and plead guilty? What will happen?

BAGHDAD - Seven U.S. soldiers and an Iraqi army interpreter came under attack Saturday morning during a patrol in a Sunni insurgent stronghold south of Baghdad, leaving five americans troops dead and three missing, the military said.

Troops were searching for the three missing, using drone planes, due to the Marines being a little aftaid of the insurgents, jets and checkpoints throughout the area, according to the statement. Soldiers were also asking local leaders for information. The local leaders refused to talk to the USA military. it appears to be a lost cause for the USA. This war could end up like another Vietnam.

Isn't Abortion Justifiable Homicide By Any Measure?

If a woman sees a fetus as an unwanted parasitic growth inside her body (which it certainly is) as a threat to her life, peace, health, freedom and well-being isn't she justified in removing it whether its homicide or not?

Certainly if she feels a unwanted threat to her life, peace, health, freedom and well-being from an attacker she is justified in killing him.

So what is the difference?

Do liberals not want us to take terrorists seriously because they want us to vote Democrat and not be pushed by our legitimate fears into supporting Republican candidates.
What is it going to take for Liberals to wake up and realize the mainstream media is playing a dangerous game of Russian roulette with them and their families lives

I heard this bleeding heart communist liberal say that if Jesus was in charge of America that he wouldn't put a wall up along the US border so illegals couldn't come over.

I couldn't disagree more. The law is the law and it doesn't matter what you think about it. We need people to follow the law. If they didn't, we would have chaos in our society.

Illegal immigrants hurt our economy. If they were to all magically leave, our economy would sky rocket. We would be so much better off without them. Just think about how much crime mexicans cause. It's a known fact.

And think about all the drain on the economy since they don't have medical insurance.

It may be true that you can't choose where you're born and that the illegal immigrants have children that they are trying to help out, but you know what? Last time I checked, you can immigrate here legally. It may take years and there's no gaurantee that you will be accepted, but you know what, life is not fear. Get used to it. Agree?

If so, why aren't we seeing it? Are people more apathetic or are there no things left worthy of such action?

At the rate it's rising, how long will it take to pay it off. Should we be concerned or is it something only the liberals are concerned about?

How do we eliminate it (each of us have our own definition of waste and corruption), so what would you specifically do to eliminate the national debt.

I've heard, several times, that Bush hired over 100 lawyers from Robertson's school. I know it's not a top tier school...so, how does it compare to Yale or Harvard?

I thought the debt would go to a collection agency. From my understanding a collection agency can't sue anybody. They just use treats to sue to get people to pay. Anyway I got a letter from a law firm today stating for me to pay my bill or a judgement will be held against me. I don't have a problem paying my bill. I just don't have the money. I don't have health insurance. It is very hard to get blood out of a turnip. Do they have any legal standing? I am just curious.

to make it a requirement for any national elected official to agree to be on webcam 24/7, except in the privacy of their homes? I can't think of a better way to eliminate graft and corruption, to take the power back from corporate interests and put it back in the people's hands. If they knew someone would always be watching, they couldn't accept bribes, favors, etc.

As an economics graduate I am repeatedly hearing spurious assertions made regarding this issue. Immigration CAN of course be beneficial, especially in the short-term.

Maintaining the current taxpayer/beneficiary ratio would require millions of immigrants every year. But IMMIGRANTS GET OLD, too. So still more immigrants would be needed to pay their benefits – one estimate suggest 180 million by 2080.

Low cost workers stifle investment, as companies continue to use cheap leabour instead of investing in technology which could ultimately replace labour. Technologhical advancement is the source of real per capita economic growth. Depressed wages also affect the poorest people - which can have social/political consequences - the rise of the BNP?

Immigrants do play a vital part in our economy, importing skilled workers to bridge a shortage gap is a good thing - the NHS is an example. But just how ethical it is to poach medical staff from the poorest countries of the world?
