I have heard that the French are implementing new 5 speed gearing for their tanks .
4 speeds for reverse and 1 speed forward in case they get flanked from the rear .
Is this true?

With as many times as the french have been flanked, they should have all 5 speeds for reverse.

Yes. Also, you can buy French Army rifles really cheap. Never fired, dropped only once. Used French General uniforms are the pits. They are tailored made so that you can maintain the "hands up" position and look good doing it. For a dime a hundred you can get French Battle Flags. All white. They work well has hankies. Patton made a comment once about preferring a German Tiger Battalion in front of him over any French Battalion behind him. And real.....Israel swiped a bunch of motor patrol boats right out from in front of the French Navy in a French port. They literally caught the entire French Navy sleeping.

That's true. It's also true that french basic training takes only 10 minutes: Teach the recruits to hold up their hands and say, "I am a collaborator!"
Why do the streets of Paris have so many trees? So the Germans can march in the shade!

Sounds about right. I know where you can get a great deal on some French rifles.

Tanks are too slow. They have switched to motor cycles so they can leave the battlefield at 140mph or more.
