presidential status, 35% approval, what is america telling us now? back in november america said, we have had enough with the war and we want a change, so here you go mr/ms democrat. is it the congress' lack of focus, although they have been rough on g.w., to find a solution versus their despise for mr bush? or is it the republicans hard headedness to end this on their terms, meaning the iraqi war situation.

I have a friend that got caught about 3 times with a suspended license and never had to do any jail time....they only revoked his license for 3 years.....why is she getting such harsh treatment?Is she being made an example of?..oh and by the way my friend is here illegaly also...

She asked a question and reading the responses I was amazed at how many folks seemed to either not know what she did or not care any more. Some of them with screen names that reflect associations with the military. I am all about speaking out and up when your country is doing something that is against what you believe but understand, it is the men and women in uniform that have given us that right and freedom. THEY are NEVER to be disrespected or treated with anything other than reverence. Shame on you Jane and shame on some Americans for having such a short memory.

If it could be said that the country is about evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats, then it might be safe to suggest that many Republicans don't necessarily buy into conservative, fundamental ideals.

The divorce rate is currently at it's lowest since 1970, primarily because more couples now choose to live together without marrying.
Divorce rates are indeed falling substantively among college-educated couples (oh, those naughty libs!)

The U. of Maryland found that of breakups within 10 years of marriage dropped by one-third among college-educated women!

College educated people "are learning how to negotiate marriages based on less rigid gender roles than in the past." (oooh, code word - gender roles!).

I'm not promoting "shacking-up;" just suggesting that it's certainly NOT just a "lib" choice.

And, any relationship (married or otherwise) still takes work and committment to succeed.

I don't mean like speeding when in pursuit of something, I mean just for speeding. Yesterday I was driving and a police officer sped right past me. I was doing 50 mph, so he had to have been doing 65. The speed limit was 50 mph. He wasn't in pursuit because he stopped at the light.

FOUR years ago i ran my SBC phone bill up to $720. i was young and naive.I didnt had money to pay so they disconnected the service.Last week i received certified letter from court being sued by ASSET ACCEPTANCE COLLECTION COMPANY for that amount and they were collecting for SBC.The court gave me thirty days to respond if the lawsuit is true or not otherwise they will decide in ASSETS favor.I am confused and dont have any money to pay i go to school fulltime.My two weeks paycheck is $800 and live on my own and pay tuition myself and health insurance.I can barely afford to get by to the next paycheck.Does anybody know what will happen to me if they win the lawsuit?I thought they will just put it in my record but they wont come after my wages,is that likely to happen?I am now trying to rebuild my credit and be a good citizen but these guys are coming after me,any ideas help?
