I am an American and am politically embarrassed by GWB.

Well, if you is an American and proud of it, try learning English. The term is I am, not I is. But then, you are proud of GWB, so I can't expect too much from you, as you are in the minority of this country, how sad it is.
We have a president who is an idiot, not my words, and he has the lowest rating of any president just about ever. I never thought I would live to see it where Nixon was not the worst president I had to live through and Viet Nam was not the worst war we ended up getting ourselves involved in.
I am an American, and I'm glad to be an American, but truthfully, sometimes I'm not all that proud, I get rather embarrassed when I travel abroad to admit I come from a country that is run the way ours is. At least in England Tony Blair has the courage to resign when he knows he is doing a bad job.

I think the major source of the national pride movement originated from the national socialism environment in Germany early 20th century. Check your premise!
God blessing America was and always will be a wish, not a fact.
GWB is as blessed as any US president could be, since he was elected to office twice and therefore reflects the pride of the American people in their leaders.

Love our country when it was prosperous hate it now that we sell only useless cheap products and sold out to the Mexicans and Chinese. Hate the current administration that could have done good instead choose the wrong way and destroyed everything that was good for the mean green!! Also love the repukes that hate abortion and support the war-no if this isn't the funniest crap I ever heard of-talk about flip flopper's!
