One of the greatest resources the USA has is it's university system and the research that they do.
Another is our science based corporations.
A president is chosen who displays an open contempt for science, and tries to muzzle scientists.
Is this a problem?

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

Example from that TV Show "Smallville". Clark Kent in one of the episodes runs for some kind of high school student body or whatever and not only did he not win, but he one of his girlfriends Lana or Cloie (or however you spell her name) voted AGAINST him. She said she didn't think he was quailifed for the position. I can see her not voting for him and thus not voting at all, but to deliberaly vote anyway and have it be the other guy, I though that segment was unfriendly. How would you feel if your friend did that to you?

Ethics, as we know, are a very subjective thing. Because each of us have a different code of what is right and wrong. So I have two questions for you (and no this is not a homework assignment) :)

Part A: What ethical qualities are important to you in a president of the US? What to you makes a President unethical, and what makes him a person with high ethical standards?

Part B, Comparing GW Bush and Clinton, who was the more ethical president?

Do you find yourself towing the party line? Are there times when you agree more with the opposing party?

Personally, I think we all get caught up with republican vs democrat, liberal vs conservative, right vs left etc....I think its a huge distraction to the real issues at hand.

Our politicians do this very well. They make this an "Us vs Them" game.....I think its plain wrong.

What are your thoughts?

Notice I said illegal aliens, not guest workers, or undocumented people. Their first act here is to break our immigration laws. Do we throw up our hands and say there is no answer or do we secure our borders and stop people from just walking in illegally? What do you want to see done in this comprehensive fix of the problem?

The anti-war protest rallies as of late have been dismally small, especially those in Washington, DC. It took more than eight (8) years of anti-war protests and civil disobedience to bring the hawks in the Pentagon to their senses and realize that war could not be won militarily or otherwise. How long must this war with Iraq go on before the war-mongers in Washington realize the same lesson. It is blatantly obvious that this war cannot possibly be "won" militarily, if at all.
The only way Bush and his cronies are going to wake up to the fact that most Americans don't approve of his handling of this war is for more people to get personally involved by raising up thier voices in protest. Nationwide protests helped bring the Vietnam War to an end and there is no reason why we can't do the same today, tomorrow, and indefinitely in the future until those arrogant blood-thirsty bastards in Washington come to their senses.

Why do people get so angry about this? Is it that you don't want to believe it could be a conspiracy? Do you not want to find out that maybe they did do this and it will wreck all that you believe in so you instantly want to 'report' people for asking questions in an open forum? Have all of you that do not believe (which is fine in my book) ever watched or read anything that would contradict what the government has told you? Do you automatically dismiss any theories because again you would be destroyed inside? These are legit questions that I have always wondered about people that don't want to believe. Wether or not you do, fine with me, I just wondered are you unwilling to hear the theories or have you and they are all bogus? Please don't post BS here, legit question to mind set of the non believers.

Should the following wording be a part of the U.S. Constitution? Why? What does it mean to all citizens of this country if it is part of the Constitution? What does it mean to you?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceable to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

I know it is apart of it, but i have a paper due and i need some opinions please!
