There is no maximum length, but they must call a General Election at least every five years.
We've had this PM for ten years.

He can remain PM for as long as he enjoys the confidence of the House of Commons. Voters do no elect prime ministers, only local MPs. Election dates are not set - they might be only months apart (as in 1910 and 1974) or ten years apart (as from 1935-45). And Britain has an unwritten constitution, so there is nothing written down saying how long he can serve.
