If you have not already cashed the check, go not do so as it implies that you have have accepted the amount as a settlement.

Your question is really hard to follow. It sounds like you consulted with an attorney after the accident, they asked you to go to be evaluated by a chiropractor and based on that evaluation the chiropractor didn't think you were physically injured enough for the lawyer to possibly win in Court and the attorney not decided to pursue your case based on that assessment. Is this correct?

You should be entitled to reimbursment for actual medical expenses due to the accident and if you missed a day and a half of work for the pain after the accident, you might be able to negotiate that with the insurance company directly. They are not going to compensate you for time and gas to go to the chiropractor's though.

Did you have any other estimates done on the car? If so and if the lowest estimate to have the damage repaired is more than the $600, if you continue to push the matter you can likely get the lowest estimate amount. I also had a Hyundai and was rear ended after a speeding car hit a van and pushed the van into my back bumper. It didn't look like much damage at all, but the lowest estimate that I got from body shops for the repair was $974. The insurance company tried sending me a check for a lesser amount, which I did not cash (I paid for the repairs out of pocket) and held out until I received the full amount for all repairs. The down side to that is it took about 6 months.

You should also be entitled to reimbursement for a rental car (but not for any insurance on the rental car; unfortunately, the insurance is more than the actual rental costs) while the vehicle is in the shop being repaired.
