I at one time was a Republican, i was all into the conservative, liberal infighting, but I quickly learned that the names and way they work are the only thing that is different. They are crooks, concerned only with themselves, and personal wealth, gain, and influence. They care little, of what there responsibilities are and they care less about the people who got them there. Our government is one the most corrupt in the world, only difference is most Americans are blind to this.

Just fine except for all the spending - but, then, that's gonna be coming to a screeching halt no matter who's controlling the purse strings once the Baby Boomers start retiring en masse (read: Social Security and Medicare go broke, broke, broke!).
"Taking us to ruin"? Hardly - it's the aforesaid social welfare schemes plus Medicaid and the necessary replacement of a 50-to-100 year-old national infrastructure that will "take us to ruin", if you want to characterize it like that.
Personally, I think, like most conservative Americans, that we will continue to solve our problems - not necessarily always with the "best" solutions (whatever that means) but with solutions that allow us to continue pretty much as we always have. Read: the end of the world is NOT going to occur.
Bottom line: Don't worry, be happy!

Is there something new that you'd like to share with us, or is this just a rant? I am sure you haven't ever liked the Republican agenda. Get one of your own and stop complaining.

I think that the Bush Administration is trying to take us in the wrong direction on immigration and has too conservative a policy on fighting the war and terrorist.
The Democrats, on the other hand, don't have the answers either.
I have come to the conclusion that all politicians are liars and do not have the truth in them. Everything is done with a view to get re-elected and gain more power for themselves and their fellow travelers.

I'm starting to like it more and more...where has it gone? Where have you gone Barry Goldwater?
Bigger, better, more expensive, more intrusive government. Is this the work of conservative republicans?
