Ethics, as we know, are a very subjective thing. Because each of us have a different code of what is right and wrong. So I have two questions for you (and no this is not a homework assignment) :)

Part A: What ethical qualities are important to you in a president of the US? What to you makes a President unethical, and what makes him a person with high ethical standards?

Part B, Comparing GW Bush and Clinton, who was the more ethical president?

Both Clinton and Bush have ethical problems. Clinton told one little lie about an affair with a bimbo. Bush has lied and lied and lied. No one was killed based on Clinton's lie but thousands of lives have been lost due to Bush's lies.

Ethics is not just lying. It has to do with action as well. The corruption surrounding bush is part of the ethical behavior one must consider. Most of the time Clinton's people were pretty good. Not much corruption at all. Nixon was unethical regarding the Watergate affair and Reagan and Bush, Sr. were unethical regarding Iran/Contra. The problem with the Iran/Contra is that now Iran has power it might not have had otherwise.

a) A President who doesn't take his oath of office seriously is unethical. What makes him a person with high standards? I guess... upbringing, their moral code and a belief in a higher power.

b) I'd have to give the edge here to GWB. He has never been convicted of perjury. He's never been involved in land deals that took poor peoples live savings and he has never been accused of being a serial sexual assaulter like Mr. Clinton. Bush is FAR from perfect but he is no Bill Clinton.

Honesty and the President should treat people well in bad situations.

Clinton called Monica Lewinsky a liar and a sl*t after she gave him a BJ, publicly humiliating her. I consider this to be the act of a slime.

President Bush believed the advisor's Clinton put in office.

Obviously Bush is much more ethical.

Making hard decisions to do the right thing, even when it's unpopular (on TV).

Every President in my life time were WAY more ethical than clinton. He got soldiers killed in Africa for nothing more than the black vote, committed adultery, perjury. And that's just the stuff we know about.

Honest mistakes vs deception and smiles
Bush vs Clinton
I prefer Bush even though he is far from perfect to a
man who lies to a nation on Tv. A B..ob is not sex?
to a man who is protecting Us best he can not his pants.

Ethics are crucial for a President to exhibit to a nation and the world. Clintoon was all about a grin and a game. Now Hill is coming straight our way. No apologies for voting to go into Iraq. She does not stand for her convictions and shows no hope of a conscious. Bush shows he is human. Momma Bush would have it no other way!

More ethical between Bush and Clinton is easy

W, hands down.

Clinton did nothing but take credit for things he didnt do and lie under oath( a crime for anyone else) and had his N.S.A. steal classified docs to avoid getting caught in lies again.

Clinton is pure trash.

A) I value honesty above all else. I'm disgusted with all the bullsh*t that comes from most of our politicians. I also look for true passion, not the fake passion that politicians so often have, but REAL passion. I also look for someone who understands the value of each human life, and THINKS before they act.

B) Clinton. I dont give a damn about his little ******* in the Oval Office. I just dont care. Its his business, not mine or anyone elses. He took care of the country and the way I remember it, the Clinton years were some of the happiest years for America.
