These links should keep you busy for a while. Out of the the services I only know about Air Force folks doing it so the links lean that way. I met a guy who did it for a living a few deployments back and he said it was a great job.

If you like the job and want to join, just have the recruiter put you into the DEP (delayed enlistment) program until a slot comes open. I'm not a recruiter with the current numbers on openings but I think this is not a high-need job so you may have to wait a few months before they guarantee you the job and the BMT (basic training) start date.

Also sounds to me like it would be a great job. Definately some good experience for you if you want to work for a network when you get out or become a proffessional photographer.

Good luck to you

It would be good to join the service and get training in survival skills and becoming a combat trained cameraman as your profession in the service.

Join the armed forces first. Remember though that while you are filming the action, the enemy will be shooting at YOU and you will just be shooting a camera. Good Luck!

Just attach a video camera to your M-240 machine gun or your helmet. That way you can shoot film AND bullets too.

Honestly, I'm not even sure that MOS still exists. Virtually all battlefield reporting now is done by embedded or escorted civilian journalists.
